The Understudies are a hip hop & art collective from the San Francisco Bay Area, California. When they play with the live band Matt and Derrick play guitar and bass, the drummer's name is Phil and they like to rock the MPC on stage too! Band members include Livin' Poetry, Fly Cobb, Citizen, Self Advocate, Welsed, Manifest, Sean E Depp and J Myers. Extended crew includes graffiti writer Dems1, Maintain of After Hijrah, E of SOR and Oakland emcee "G".
