Is There Any Scientific Evidence of Real Ghosts?
Scientific evidence is difficult to come by. Most people who have a paranormal experience don't have the equipment needed to record the event and paranormal experiences seldom happen on cue when the equipment is in place. This of course, leads skeptics to believe that nothing really happened. For those who have experienced the paranormal or seen a ghost, scientific proof is just icing on the cake.

Misunderstandings...
The term Ghost is often used to refer to any paranormal activity from strange sounds to full-bodied apparitions, attributed to the spirit of a loved one who has passed on, but that isn't always the case. Paranormal activities can and do occur without connection to the spirit of someone who has passed away.What you think of as a ghost is probably the typical residual ghost. There are other kinds of ghosts or spirits that you may encounter. Identifying which type of haunting you are dealing with provides clues to how you should react and what can be done to rid your home of them.

My mother passed away when my first born was nine months old. It came as a great blow to me. I loved my mother dearly and wasn't quite ready to let her go. My first experience with sleep paralysis came when I first moved away from home and was living in a college dorm room. When I awoke one morning, I was surprised to find I could not move. Every muscle in my body was frozen in place. I was clearly awake, but I could not even open my eyes. Struggle as I might, I could not will my muscles to move. I began to concentrate on moving my toes. After what seemed like an eternity I was suddenly able to move them. That one movement freed the entire body and I was able to open my eyes and get up.It happened frequently for a while.
One morning, it happened again, but something was different this time.In the corner of my room was a round bright light, so bright that I thought it must be the sun.
Was it a Paranormal Experience or Just Sleep Paralysis?

The story of your mother really hit home! My mother passed away in February 2008 and I remember her telling me and one of my sisters about the vision she had of where she would go when she passed from this life to the next. She said she saw a place so beautiful and full of joy that it was near impossible to describe with words. A few weeks later she was gone and it was perhaps the most difficult time of my life. I think the one thing that really helped me to deal with it was that she told us of her vision. Less than a year later my father joined her and again her vision helped me to deal with my father's death.
