Well, everyone has different ideas on this one, and that's a great thing! By making sure the rules keep changing, we keep getting new unique flower ideas and we all stay happy with the results.

Here are a few suggestions on how to make your floral arrangements and bouquets stand out and be considered unique.

Buck the crowd when it comes to the "in" colors for the season. Just because someone has proclaimed that pink and purple are "in" at the time doesn't mean you have to follow the crowd! Vibrant yellows, stunning violets, and velvety reds make an awesome impact when everyone is used to seeing the same old, same old flowers month after month!

Go sparse! Yes, get away from the crowd mentality and make an impact with just a few glorious unique flowers like orchids and a small complementing spray that makes a statement. Spend the money on getting a few extravagant blooms instead of a "filled" bouquet of the normal everyday flowers we keep seeing at every event. They'll end up costing almost the same amount of money, but whose bouquet or arrangement will everyone else remember . . . Yes, because your arrangement will be different, YOURS will be the unique flowers that will be remembered.

Why go with a traditional vase or holder? A shallow bowl, a deep candy dish, a drink pitcher, or a fish bowl . . . Add the right components and you have the makings of flower arrangements that people will talk about!
