My Cards

I create environmentally friendly handmade greeting cards for any occasion. All my cards are packaged in a clear protective sleeve and are blank inside--ready for your own personalized message. If you're looking for a beautifully made and unique card for someone special in your life, these are the cards for you!

Check out my SquidWho lens (all about me): libby gudz and if that's not enough, check out my page on MySpace.com. You can see a lot more of my cards here: http://www.myspace.com/libbygudzdesign

The cards can be purchased directly from me (send me a message!) or from one of the retail locations listed below.  I am always searching for more locations throughout the U.S. to sell them in, so if you know of a retail store that you think should carry my cards, please let me know!

If you are in the neighborhood of any of these stores, then check out my rack!

The Cakery - 91 Main Street Woonsocket, RI
With Heart & Hand - 258 Dedham Street/Route 1A Norfolk, MA
Spike & Buddy's - 757 Indian Boundary Road Chesterton, IN
With Heart & Soul - 3751 Mendon Road Cumberland, RI

Blue State Coffee - 300 Thayer Street Providence, RI

The picture above is one of my small counter racks located at Spike & Buddy's.  This rack can hold approximately 120 cards.  Larger floor racks are also available. Card racks are available in both black and white, and they can also be painted to fit the decor of any shop.

Good news!

Libby Gudz's cards are nice to the environment!

My cards (and their envelopes) are made from chlorine-free, FSC, Green Seal, and Green-E certified paper. Hey, it's the least I could do for our planet!
In case you don't know exactly what these certifications mean:
FSC Certification: Ensures that the paper meets the Forest Stewardship Council's standards for responsible forest management. Certified by SmartWood, a program for the Rainforest Alliance.

Chlorine Free Certification: The Chlorine Free Products Association certification attests that 100% post consumer recycled papers are manufactured without the use of chlorine chemistry and are made from sustainable raw materials.

Green Seal Certification: Certifies that all these papers are made with a minimum of 30% post consumer fiber, and that the mill processes, including packaging, are environmentally perferable (The cards I have chosen are actually 100% recycled).

Green-E Certification: Green-e indentifies products made with certified renewable energy, including but not limited to: wind energy, solar power, low impact hydropower and biomass. All Environment papers (the ones I have chosen) are made with 100% certified renewable energy.

love your work.

Why you will LOVE these cards...

Beautiful papers have always been a passion of mine, and I have always had a love for fine details. Add my issues with perfectionism to the list, and you get a line of unique, handmade cards that are beautiful, simple, and clean. I love creating cards that people refuse to throw away!

Custom designs are always available, and it's a specialty of mine. Tell me what you need, and I'll come up with something made just for you.

What you should also know is...

...that I really don't like to make more than one of the same card. (I will if I have to, but I'd rather not!) My favorite part about making cards is that when I start making one, I don't know what it's going to look like until it's done. I just let them happen...
I believe this is necessary in any type of design field. DON'T THINK TOO HARD! Just let yourself CREATE. If it's in you, it'll come out in your work. And when you allow yourself the freedom to create something from instinct, you'll love what you do, and you'll be a happy person.

Personalized stationery

What a great gift idea!

Personal stationery is a must-have for everyone! A small card with your name or monogram is always great to have on hand for those occasions when you need to thank someone for a thoughtful gift, or thank someone for helping you move, or just for sending along a little note to a friend.

Personalized stationery makes a great gift, too, for just about anyone, like a new baby (mom can use them as thank-you's for all the cute baby gear she receives), a bride and groom, and especially for those hard-to-buy-for folks on your gifting lists.

NOTE: Pictured below is a monogram design that would be great for a new baby.

Personalized Stationery makes a great gift!

This one can be customized a million different ways to suit your needs.

Also available from L.G.D.

I'm a designer, and I just can't limit myself to greeting cards...

I also make custom-designed boxes to hold an assortment of cards or personalized stationery. These boxes include a small envelope on the inside cover for stamps so you always have some when you need them! The boxes can be designed to coordinate with a person's home or their personal style. Just tell me what you're looking for and I'll create it!

I also have a love for scrapbooking (I design custom pages), and I design handmade invitations for any occasion (weddings, birthdays, etc.) and baby announcements.
