Unity 08 Questions Persist With Lapses in Ethics
Unity08 claimed to be a grassroots organization and a people's movement, but investigations show that lobbyists, political insiders, public relations professionals and millionaires were working on and paying for the secretive group. That's not grassroots.
Unity08 Chief Operating Officer Anya T. Harris said that Unity08 is working in coordination with organizations she called "advocacy partners", but didn't tell anyone who those organizations are? Why wouldn't Unity08 tell its members whch organizations it was working in coordination wth?
Unity08 members began to ask difficult ethical questions about what's actually going on over at Unity08. Unity08 would not answer the questions. One member of Unity08 points out, "Unity08 is destined to fail unless real and critical changes are made to the approach, the focus and the leadership of this process."
It looks like Unity08 was just another ethically questionable operation run by Washington D.C. insiders and corporate elites.

It's a fact: 60 percent of donations to Unity08 in the 4th quarter of 2006 made by people with identified places of employment were made by people who work for financial investment companies, or for companies that in turn work for investment companies.

- Unity08's listserve is now being used by Bloomberg operatives. They are contacting members by phone attempting to establish a "media opinion poll".
This was nothing more than a fraudlent scheme by Unity08 to obtain information to be used, a swindle!

- While I do find your conspiracy theories amusing to read, I do have to say that they are entirely unfounded. It appears to me that someone of your ideology is either A) a lunatic who thinks little green men are behind unity08 B) a partisan hack, who'll stop at nothing to see a democrat in office?
