Look UP in 2009 for a great adventure

Carl Fredricksen spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But at age 78, life seems to have passed him by, until a twist of fate (and a persistent 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell) gives him a new lease on life. "UP" takes audiences on a thrilling journey where the unlikely pair encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains and jungle creatures.

I know how hard it is to find things related to UP! Whose idea was it to name the movie that? I've been hunting and pecking for months now to gather together everything related to the movie I could, including t-shirts, toys, books and video games. Don't worry about searching for UP merchandise yourself. Just bookmark this page and come back to check often for the latest stuff!

Best movie of the summer!

Morgie says:

This movie was absolutely amazing. The opening alone was pure art, and the rest followed with both charm and gut-busting comedy. It's very few movies that can make me laugh and cry in quick succession. The details, the thought, and the love put into this movie really show. Just brilliant.

Ryan says:

My favorite line or catchphrase in all of UP is..........."SQUIRREL!" It made me laugh every time because it happens at random times. So in my line or catchphrase hall of fame "SQUIRELL!" might just be #1. And my favorite charecter is either Dug or Russel. It's the best Pixar movie so far, at least that's what I think.

Ryan says:

That movie was a combonation of sad, funny, and maybe even a little scary.

Jessica says:

I loved this movie! A great adventure for the entire family.
This movie is not just for kids but for everyone. This is a must see and 3D makes it even better.

Paul & Andrea says:

Cried so many times I lost count...best movie this summer!

Mehh. OK, but I'm not that excited.

Carl Fredricksen

Voiced by Ed Asner

Carl is a retired balloon salesman who, at 78-years-old, is forced to leave the house he and his late wife Ellie built together. But instead of moving into the old folks home, Carl takes action. He ties thousands of balloons to the roof, lifts the house into the air and sets off toward South America, finally fulfilling the promise he made to his wife so many years before.

Russell

Voiced by Jordan Nagai

Russell is an enthusiastic and persistent 8-year-old Junior Wilderness Explorer from Tribe 54. Armed with a backpack laden with official Wilderness Explorer camping gear, Russell is ready for the wilderness! There's just one catch: he's never actually left the city. All his knowledge of the outdoors comes from books. He's just one "Assisting the Elderly" badge shy of achieving the goal of his lifetime: the coveted rank of Senior Wilderness Explorer.

Kevin

Named "Kevin" by Russell, this extremely rare 13-foot-tall flightless bird is hidden from the world in its remote Paradise Falls habitat. He's exceptionally fast and nimble despite his size and often ends up in very curious and seemingly impossible positions. Very few know that Kevin exists, but Carl and Russell stumble upon him on their travels. Kevin and Russell bond instantly thanks to a shared sweet tooth and Kevin joins the improbable group on their adventures.

Dug

Voiced by Bob Peterson

Dug is a lovable mutt living in the wilds of Paradise Falls as part of a dog pack searching for a rare, flightless bird. He has a cool electronic collar that translates his thoughts to speech - not always a good thing. Dug accidentally succeeds in finding the rare bird following Carl and Russell and has to decide which pack he wants to belong to.

About Disney Digital 3-D

Disney Digital 3-D is a brand used by the The Walt Disney Company to describe three-dimensional films made by Disney and shown exclusively using digital projection.

Disney Digital 3-D is not a presentation nor a production format or technology. Films advertised as Disney Digital 3-D come from a number of sources, film, digital camera as well as animation software, and can be presented using any digital 3D technology, including RealD, Dolby 3D, XpanD and Master Image. There is no specific handling involved.

Despite this, Disney always advertises Disney Digital 3-D films as if it would be a format of Digital 3D, leading to some confusion among the audience.
