uPro Golf GPS - A Review

Without a doubt the most obvious and distinctive feature of the uPro Golf GPS is the graphics.
There are two options available:
The Basic Mode and The Pro Mode.
It would be unfair to say the Basic Mode is the same as other golf GPS models because it isn't - it is superior. But it does pale in comparison to the Pro Mode!
The Pro Mode is a video flyover of the actual hole in play. Just like you see on the television coverage of PGA events where they get in a helicopter and fly over the hole to show you what the Pros are facing. Real cool graphics.
Another distinguishing feature is the uPro's ability to give you distances to anypoint on the course - not just to hazards or greens. Yes you can select a spot in the middle of the fairway, press a button and the uPro will tell you how far to that point.
It's like having a laser rangefinder with GPS capabilities.

The third big difference is in the price!
Understandably the technology and the quality of the graphics cost money so you will find the uPro at the top of the price scale but well worth it in my opinion.
The uPro Golf GPS does not have an annual feel but instead you pay once for each of the courses you use in Pro mode.
All courses are available free of charge in Basic mode.
You do get one Pro Mode course included in the purchase price with the basic package so you can show off in front of your club mates.
