There are a number of different types of sites you can join. Some are legit dating sites and you have to pay join. They have standard questions which you have to answer in order to join them. I wouldn't say it's a sure-fire way to meet that "special someone" but it might be a bit better then the totally free sites.

I think the people on these sites have become so negative and bitter about it and they're using the excuse that it's the "internet dating b.s" a little too much. If they'd learn a little patient and not be so desperate then they just might be able to find someone real.

Learn to be happy with yourself first and then you can find happiness with someone else.

Next there are numerous sites who push the sexual aspect of online dating. I wouldn't count them out tho as a place to meet honest people who want more then just sex.

Plenty of these sites simply have married men and women looking for extra marital affairs, or couples looking for something more, or men or women looking for instant sexual gratification, however there are some men and women on these sites who actually do want friendship and possibly more, hoping to find someone they can grow old with.

There are also escorts and cam girls on these sites as well. And who can blame them?? The guys want something they can provide for a fee.

Now I'm not advocating extra marital affairs or prostitution but if a man or woman isn't getting at home what they should be, then the spouse should expect them to look elsewhere. There's nothing wrong with enjoying the pleasure of flesh. As for the guys, if they're only looking for instant gratification then be prepared to pay for it and don't expect a single lady to actually help them with it.

One of the biggest complaints about internet dating that I've heard is the lack of real up-to-date pictures. So some people have webcams, the problem with this on some sites is guys who think the women should be completely naked for their own self pleasures. It'd make it a lot simpler if the guys would learn how to use them instead of harassing the ladies who are looking for more then help a guy get his rocks off.
