One place you can always go to find all sorts of used DS games or even used nintendo ds game systems is eBay!
The majority of games I have for my DS are from eBay. They have got some very good deals there on used games, new games, new and used DS systems, you name it. Be sure to always read the feedback of the person you are buying the games from to make sure he has a few sales under his belt. If you go to big name retail stores DS games are $18 to $35 new on the shelf. If you buy used nintendo ds games you can get them for as little as $6. There are, however, some pitfalls to watch out for. Following these tips will help you get used Nintendo DS games that are just like new at bargain prices.

Make sure you really want the game before you buy it. Review it at your favorite gaming site or borrow it from a friend if they have it to see if you really like it. A lot of these refurbished item sellers provide a warranty and they usually have no problem giving you an exchange on the item you bought from them, so there is a little more safety in buying from them than buying from someone who offers no exchange or money-back policy. As I have said in the past, read the seller's terms on each auction because some people are selling their stuff with NO return policy and others are offering more fair deals.

If you are comfortable buying from an individual seller then you may be able to get a better deal, but you will not have a warranty, it is really your preferance. Coming some time soon there will be even more released features for the DS. Company President Satoru Iwata says that these new functions are not games and they can be accessed and used wirelessly.

Previews of some of what Mr. Iwata is talking about have been seen already this year. In Seattle, Washington this summer you could bring your DS to a Seattle Mariners baseball game and be included in something called the Nintendo Fan Network. This allowed you to turn on your DS at the baseball field during the game and order a hot dog and drink, play a trivia game or even watch a television feed of the game as it happened, all this right there on your Nintendo DS. Imagine the possibilities this presents. For me, just ordering a pretzel and Coke from my DS, while sitting in a baseball stadium is amazing. But I am sure that with the new innovations Nintendo is bringing to the DS other companies and sites around the world will be quick to find a way to use them to their advantage. Can you imagine listening to an explaination come over your DS speakers of how an artist struggled to paint a portrait while you are standing in a museum and looking at the painting? I don't think this is too far from what kind of things we will see soon.

If you go to places such as ebgames or gamestop see if the game includes the original box. If you don't care that a game has just a generic box they put it in, then it won't matter, some people want the original packaging, some don't care this is a personal preference. You also want to check to see if the game has the manual included. There are some games that are next to impossible to play without some sort of instructions or guide on what buttons to use for what function. Again, you may not care, it may not matter, you may have already owned the game you are trying to find and you are familiar with the controls and layout, it is up to you.

With used Nintendo DS games, you may get a game sometimes that already has a save file on it that is way past the beginning of the game. This is no problem, you can just delete it. Or, you can use that save file to see what things might happen later in the game or what type of unlockable items are going to be available to you after you progress into the game. Then you can delete it. Or you can keep it. Same story here, it is up to you. Just because you are buying a used game does not mean you are any less of a gamer or human being. You might be able to pick up three used games for what a new game would cost in the store. There is definitely nothing bad about that.

I have never had any problems when I buy used nintendo ds systems. But I have to warn you guys and girls, if you buy one from someone ANYWHERE used try to make sure the screen isn't all scratched up. I don't know if you have ever seen one when it is scratched but it makes the ds almost worthless. I have seen used Nintendo DS light game systems with touch screens so scratched up they were ruined. As long as you can see a picture then you should have no problems seeing for yourself if it is scratched or not.

If you decide to buy from someone who is selling refurbished units they usually can't take a picture of each one but seeing as how they are refurbished they should have a pretty decent screen and you should have no worries! especially if you get some kind of return policy from them or warranty. Make sure before you buy a used DS game that it is the game you want. I know I have said this before on this very site but it is worth saying again. I would have to say that out of the first 5 games I bought used, I probably liked 2 of them really well. I wish that on those I had researched a little bit more before I bought them.

Gamespot.com goes so far in-depth with it's reviews now that you should be able to tell a lot more easily if you are going to like a game just by looking at their reviews. Many times I have gone and watched a video review of the game I am thinking of buying there because this allows me to be able to see game play, music, what the camera angle is like, what the characters move like, instead of just looking at pictures of a game and reading a review. Also, a lot of times they bring in a game developer to speak during the video review so he can explain how certain things work in the game and you aren't going to find that anywhere else.

Some games still do not have video reviews because they are not really popular and the gaming websites only have so much time in the day, so on some of the less popular ones you will have to resort to pictures and the written word. They do a pretty good job of DS game reviews considering that they have to get video of such a small device. So when you want to buy Nintendo DS games used or new, go over to Gamespot.com or your favorite gaming site and make sure you want to buy, it will save you more money in the long run.

Nintendo is releasing a TV tuner for the DS in Japan. The device will cost $60 and appears to have two antenna poking out of the top of it. Buyers will be able to watch television in the top screen and the bottom screen will act as a remote control allowing you to change channels.

Unfortunately this is only coming out in Japan at the time as it is not configured for use with U.S. or Europe television signals. That doesen't mean it will never be here, mind you, we could see one sooner or later. Then you can watch murder she wrote on the back porch while sipping tea..... if you are my grandmother.

Removing save files from the DS or deleting save files from the DS is usually an easy operation. If you got your DS game used then it probably has some save files from someone else's game that you do not want. Usually on the load screen, by this I mean the first full game screen you see, you have the opportunity to click on "options" or "system". Usually in one of these two places there is an option to delete save files, it might say "erase" or "delete system data" this is where you can delete save game files on the DS.

The best thing to do if you can't find this section, or your game does not have it, is to start a new game and overwrite the previous save file, that will erase the old save file and replace it with your new one and will remove the old DS save file. Still there are times when you do this that your new game gets saved as a new file and the old file still stays on the system, this happens in games where you can have more than one save file. It really varies from game to game. A lot of times in the main menu screen there is an option to "erase" or "delete". Not trying to sound repetitive, just trying to help you remove or delete your old save files.

You are better off buying a brand new charger for a DS and not a used Nintendo DS charger because the new ones are very cheap, we are talking $.01, that's one penny, plus shipping. This is for a never out of the box old style DS charger, or fat DS charger, that will also act as a Gameboy Advance sp charger. These chargers are not made by Nintendo, but they work just fine. Again, this charger does NOT work with the DS lite.

I watched a charger auction end on eBay today for 11 cents and shipping was $4.99. You really can't beat this price anywhere. Amazon also has some good deals on Brand new DS chargers. Below I have posted some links to some current listings on eBay and Amazon. Your best bet is to just buy a brand new charger, still in the package, from one of these two places. On average a DS lite charger on those two sites is selling for $8.00 . That's all charges plus shipping.

There are some that are selling for $.99 with the shipping charge of $3.99, just remember to watch who you buy from. One of the reasons I like animal crossing so much is because of the thought that went into making the game. There are so many things in use here that could have or should have been included in other games similar to this or even some RPGs. I love this game's current and ever-changing state and I have seldom seen any game that comes close to this one in terms of a real-time world that functions and changes even when you are gone.
