The great thing about eBay is that there are so many games available. This means there is lots of choice, but also means you have a good chance of grabbing a bargain.

Tips for buying used video games on eBay
- Search in the right section.
This may sound obvious, but most people simply type the item they are looking for in to the search box. In the case of video games this can mean you miss a number of auctions (and it's these auctions where you have a good chance of finding a bargain).
If you are searching for Beowolf for PS3 then search for 'Beowolf' in the PS3 section rather than 'Beowolf PS3'. Including 'PS3' in the search means the auction must include PS3 in the name. - Look at the recently posted 'Buy It Now' auctions.
Rather than only looking at the auctions that have a few minutes left, go right to the other end of the list and view the recently posted auctions. Its here that you might be lucky and find a 'Buy It Now' auction that has been posted at a low price. These don't stay around for long so you have to snap them up if you see them. Sellers may have chosen different lengths for their auctions to run so also look around 3,5,7 and 10 days for recently posted auctions. - Use eBay's 'Bid Assistant'.
Because there are so many games available you can afford to let the expensive ones go. Decide how much you want to pay (see the guide on our main website) and then use 'Bid Assistant' to place this bid on lots of auctions. Bid Assistant will bid on multiple auctions at your chosen amount until you win an auction so you only win 1 game!
Game bundles are great value!
One of the best ways to grab a bargain is to buy a bundle of games from eBay. Most buyers just want to buy a single game so you've cut down your competition straight away and have more chance to win the auction.Even though you may not like every game in the bundle, fear not, just resell the ones you don't want.
