Everything is free to use!

This lens compiles many great web tools: the ones you may actually find useful and you may want to add to your website. If interested, please help yourself: all web tools listed are free to use.

You may also want to do all the work to maintain and improve your website to reduce spending. I have listed some books and other resources from Amazon to guide the self-learners and the do-it-yourselfers. So check them out and let me know your thoughts.

Free hosting

If you have a personal or a small website you may want to use a free hosting service (some free hosting even offer their services to business websites). There is a lot of choices available out there, make sure you get all the information you need before opting for one.

If you do not have time to compare, or have doubts about these free website hosting services, then I would recommend:

Free Web Hosting

That's the one I use for my website.
Free file and image hosting
Compare services and read customer reviews before choosing the one for you.
Free website hosting
You can compare based on: the web space allowed, the type of upload and script, the type of url hosted, and other criteria such as ratings and reviews.
Free video hosting
Besides YouTube, find out what else is out there.

Free email forms

An email form allows the visitors to submit information via your website. You will then receive the information in your mailbox.

You need to use an email forms builder. It is generally easy to use as no coding is required. All you need to do is copy and paste the code onto your website.

Furthermore, one of the great benefit is that you can preview your forms as you build and even save them for future use.

Free embeddable guestbook

Wouldn't it be great if the people who visit your website would be able to leave a message for yourself or the world?

The cool thing about this free guestbook is the fact that it is embeddable and very easy to use. You will be able to manage it easily. You can even make it accept images or HTML.

Make sure to embed a guestbook into your website. It's free.

Free F.A.Q. service

F.A.Q. service gives your website visitors access to common questions and answers whether it is about you, your interests, your website or your products and services.
If you would like, you can add a free F.A.Q section to your website.

Again, the installation is easy as copying and pasting the code onto your website. You will then be able to manage your questions and answers.

Free e-card service

It is simple and easy to host your very own e-card service. This is a cool feature that could be a huge plus to your website: it adds unique content, it offers a free service your visitors will use and reuse and enjoy.

The installation is straightforward an does not require any knowledge of programming.

Check out this free e-card hosting service to see if you could use it on your website. It's fun and free.

Free password protect

A password protect is designed to restrict access to important pages on your website. Therefore you can protect sensitive information by allowing only selected users to access specific pages on your website. How? Just by requesting them to enter their user-name and password.

Using a free password protect service is very straightforward. Start by getting the code to put on your website and you will be able to manage users and track how your password protect is being used.

Free mini poll

Add a poll to your website and you will have your visitors' attention and participation.

It is fun and useful to know your visitors' opinions on different topics that matter to you.

You will be able to set up and display several polls simultaneously, as well as surveys and/or quizzes.

Maintenance and installations are easy and the results will be available to you live as they show in real time.

This free web poll could be a valuable tool to webmasters, at least to those who know how to take advantage of a great free tool.

Free daily cartoon

This is not a joke. You can add to your website for all your visitors (and yourself) to see daily funny and free Randy Glasbergen cartoons every day.

Worth checking out, believe me. The cartoons can also be sent in an email to others. Use the statistics to track how many web cartoons get sent from your website and how many get opened. Isn't that interesting?

Most of all, you get your daily share of laughters and smiles and get to spread the joy around you!

Check out this free daily cartoon for your website.

More free web tools

More web tools, including free mailing list service, are available here. They are all free so use as many or as few as you want.

A free mailing list service will enable you to build your own email lists and send newsletters. It is a very common marketing practice in order to keep your members up-to-date and coming back! Generally easy to use and to manage, a mailing list service should allow you to: find subscribers by name or date, customize your subscribe box and get notified by email when new members subscribe to your mailing list.

Free SEO tools

I think people are still very into SEO tools so I created this module.

Of course, if you google "Free SEO tools", you will get an overwhelming number of results. So I thought I'd post this link just in case you want to check one out.
