This brings back memories. I served onboard this fine ship for 4 years. I reported aboard in 1981 and left in 85. Yes I am a PLANKOWNER. It was a wonderful time. I learned alot. The Carl Vinson, will always be in my heart. Once a sailor is a plankowner of a ship he (or she) thinks of the ship as part of the family. It is hard to explain. But looking at this lens has brought back some wonderful memories and good felling. Thanks.
And I respect and support all the Sailors onboard her now, thanks guys. Please take care of this fine ship.

I suport all of our service men and women. Thank you all for you service and dedication. And for keeping us free and safe here at home.

Another excellent lens and another stroll down memory lane for me. This was the second Carrier I had the pleasure of working on. One of my keepsakes is my old badge that has the CVN-70 sticker on it from that job. I've lensrolled the Enterprise and the Vinson lenses on two of my lenses that have Mare Island on them.
