Hello and welcome to my list of The Web's Best SEO Tools and Resources,

For over five years I have been working full time as a SEO / SEM specialist and have been able to test the majority of SEO tools and resources on the web. Since the web is filled with SEO tools and resources separating the ordinary from the extraordinary took a great deal of time and experience. I have spent hundreds - thousands of hours testing and comparing SEO tools, trying to produce the best results for my clients. As search engines rapidly advance so do the SEO tools and resources. Keeping up-to-date with the industry's advances is a full time job. I have compiled a list of the webs most powerful and effective SEO tools and resources today and have listed them in this lens. Since the SEO / SEM industry is constantly changing I will be frequently adding on to and updating this Squidoo lens. I have kept the description of each SEO tool and resource brief, I figured it would be best to keep the list short and simple.

I have recently added a new feature onto my Squidoo lens that allows all of my lens readers to rate and add onto the my list of "The Web's Best SEO Tools and Resources".

The web's most useful and effective SEO tools

There are a massive amount of SEO tools on the web, but only a small amount of effective tools that produce useful results.

The following SEO tools have proven to be the most effective and useful SEO tools on the web today:
  1. WordTracker - Excellent keyword research tool.
  2. SEO Book Keyword Suggestion Tool - The best free keyword research tool on the web today (the book is also very informative).
  3. * Web CEO - Free SEO software that is packed with a ton of useful SEO tools. What I like the most about Web CEO is their ability to check web site rankings on all the major search engines, save the rankings, compare the rankings to current and past rankings and generate reports that can be easily presented to clients. Web CEO is also a really good tool for finding link partners and much more.
  4. Quintura- This is an excellent tool for finding keywords or keyphrases that are related to your main keyword or keyphrase (good for optimizing your pages for latent semantic indexing or vector term analysis).
  5. MSN's Ad Lab Search Result Clustering - This tool makes it easy to come up with the right context for a web site. This tool is great for generating a set of keyword or keyword phrases with latent semantic indexing in mind.
  6. Google "Supplemental Results" Identifier - With this tool you can easily find all of the "Supplemental Results" for a web site in seconds. If a web page is in the supplemental results that means there are some duplicate content issues or something along those lines .
  7. Search The Web 2 Long Tail Search Engine - Search The Web 2 is an excellent tool for finding related keywords and popular long tail keywords for a specific term, I like to use this tool along with Quintura to come up with a good list of related keywords and phrases.
  8. Copyscape - With copyscape you can easily Search for copies of web pages on the web.
  9. Search Status Firefox Add-on - This Firefox add-on shows the Google Page Rank and Alexa popularity score for the web site you are currently visiting anywhere in your Firefox browser (the default setting places the ranking scores in the bottom right hand side of your Firefox browser).
  10. Tattler Link Analysis Tool - This tool pulls all the links that points to any web site you specify from Yahoo (unlike Google and many other search engines Yahoo displays almost all if not all of the links back to a web site) and will sort them by domain and recursive links which I believe means reciprocal links. This tools is small in file size and does not require an install.
  11. That's it for now. I will be adding more onto this list soon. Coming soon is: best Google site map generator, RSS software, podcast software, ATOM software, pinging services, blog software and much more. I plan on frequently adding on to this list, so please come back soon for an update. As with everything else in SEO if you are not properly educated, mislead and do not know what your are doing you can easily hurt your web site's rankings on search engines. Using the SEO resources I have posted above and a little motivation and dedication people can educate themselves well enough.

SEO tools are a good thing if user actually can understand how to properly use them. As tools, they are automated and an inexperienced person may not really understand what they are seeing and what is correct or is not correct. In many cases, an seo tool can hurt and mislead.
