Hit the open road or the open off-road in Utah.

From the mountains in northern Utah to the deserts of southern Utah, this place is heaven for adventure motorcycle riding. You can do daytrips, weekends, whatever. Just make sure you have a GPS, good set of maps with enough detail to show BLM roads, or ride with a human navigator. KLR's, KTM's, BMW's all will do well here, but any dual-sport bike will do. Stay tuned for updates and info on cool rides and routes. It won't be long before I pack up the panniers, fire up the motor and kick up the sidestand on 2008.

2008 Utah Adventures 

April 12: Utah west desert daytrip

As part of my prep for the Trans-America Trail ride in mid-May, I did an all day adventure with Darth Nater, the first big daytrip of 2008. We rode from Park City to Lehi, then to Cedar Fort for an obligatory gas-up and Red Bull stop. From there, we rode past Five Mile Pass, on through Faust, then hit the dirt on the Pony Express Trail. After miles of high speed dirt cruising, we veered off towards the Little Sahara Sand Dunes then returned to civilization (sort of) in the town of Eureka.
