Regions of Utah

Northern- Northern Utah is renowned for its snow in the winter. Home to the 2002 Olympic winter games, there are numerous resorts suited to skiiers and snowboarders alike. Or try snowshoeing in a nearby canyon. But what about the summer? Try rock climbing in Big Cottonwood Canyon or boating on Bear Lake. If you're in Provo hike up to the view of Timpangos or go flyfishing. Or travel to Midway for the famous Homestead Resort, where natural hot springs, horseback riding, and other activities are available.

Eastern- Eastern Utah has the rivers and the largest wilderness in Utah that cater to backpackers, boaters, bikers, hikers, rafters, fishermen, canyoneers, and others. Green River is a great place for kayaking and rafting. Vernal has plenty of trails for biking or horseback riding. Price is home to Native American petroglyphs and Indian writing, so you can learn while you play.

Central- This area is great for camping or ATVs. It also boasts of rodeos. But if horse racing isn't for you, there are plenty of golf courses across this area. Whatever else you desire, central Utah is there to explore.

Southwest/Southeast- Home to many national parks, this southern territory is perfect for everyone inclined to warm weather. It is a favorite for bikers, hikers, and rock climbers alike. There's plenty of camping spots for everyone. It has been the backdrop for many movies. It has many formations and Navajo history as well, but for more information hike the Trail of the Ancients. There are plenty of festivals if you travel at the right time such as Moonshadows in Moab, which features biking by the full moon. Try it all here.
