I've been to Myrtle Beach several times and always had a great time there. There's much to do and you can always have fun going to the beach. Myrtle Beach has 60 miles of soft, sandy beaches providing its visitors with: swimming, surfing, parasailing, shell collecting, sunbathing, boating, and water skiing.

Whether you prefer going out on a fishing charter, kayaking, scuba diving, parasailing, or windsurfing, you can do it at Myrtle Beach.

You can opt to stay at at condo, hotel, motel, or rent an entire house during your summer vacation to Myrtle Beach. I prefer staying anywhere as long it's beach front. Of course, I'm a bit of a beach bum and can't get enough of the ocean. If your not that crazy about the beach, there is so much more to do while visiting Myrtle Beach. The shopping is great and the dining is fantastic! Especially the seafood. We went to several places and were never disappointed. The people were very friendly, too.

Taking walks along the beach was really enjoyable, just don't do it at night. I was a bit irritated at all the fireworks that people shoot into the ocean at night. I mean everywhere! I guess fireworks are legal in South Carolina and people do embrace the fact. I almost got hit a few times and decided it was best to keep my walking along the beach limited to daylight hours.

If your looking to take a family vacation, children absolutely love Myrtle Beach. Playing in the pools, ocean, and sand all day is enough to tire out the most energetic of kids, thus, allowing some alone time for the adults in the evening. Grown-ups looking to vacation in Myrtle Beach are better off staying at a condo or renting a house, as the hotels are mostly all families. So, if lots of kids in the hotel pool bothers you, you might want to take this advice.

Rentals in Myrtle Beach are rated on the average and the best hotels should be booked at least 6 months to a year in advance.
