Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays, so I want to share some fun ideas.
Easy Valentine's Day Cupcake Ideas

Pink, red, or white icing with candies, or heart sprinkles would all be oh so simple, but a wonderful crowd pleaser at your son or daughter's Valentines day party.
Make the cupcake your Valentine by writing your message right on the cupcake, or attach a small flag to the top of a toothpick with your Valentines Day message written or printed on the flag. Insert the other end of the toothpick into the cupcake to create a cute little edible Valentine, with a special message for your sweetie.

Valentine's Day Treat: Raspberry Tarts

These cookies make a great Valentines day gift, or a stunning addition to a cookie tray. These jam filled cookies look yummy, and don't disappoint in taste.
Ingredients:
3 cups flour
1 cup softened butter
5 eggs (yolks only)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup strawberry preserves (seedless)
You will also need two heart shaped cookie cutters, one a little larger than the other, or other cookie cutter shape as long as you have 2 with one slightly larger.
Mix the flour, egg yolks, sugar, butter, and vanilla together until it forms a soft dough.
Let the dough chill for at least 30 minutes.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface, until it is about 1/8" thick for best results. Use the larger cookie cutter to cut out a shape for the base, then cut a second shape with the larger cookie cutter, and use the smaller cookie cutter to cut out the center of the shape, to make the top of the cookie.
Preheat your oven to 350`F. Put the cookies on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for ten minutes. When the cookies have cooled put jam in the center of the bottom cookie, and place the cut out cookie on top.

Valentine's Day Treat Idea: Chocolate Covered Pretzels with Heart Sprinkles
Try a new twist on an old favorite treat, chocolate covered pretzels, for a Valentine's Day treat. They're simple to make, and even easier to eat. Your kids will have a blast helping you make them.Ingredients:
A bag of rod pretzels
1/2 bar (or 6-8 squares) Chocolate Bark (it melts really well in the microwave) Follow the instructions on the bag to melt.
Valentines day sprinkles
Melt the chocolate, let your children help dip the pretzels in the melted chocolate.
I lay the dipped pretzels on wax paper, but you can also prop them up in a cup to dry (if you don't want them to be flat on one side). Let your children add the sprinkles while the chocolate's still soft.
Bundle them together for a Valentine's Day gift, or make a pretzel bouquet for your child's classroom.
