If you don't fancy Cupid's Cosmo then how about combining the exoticness of lychees with a Valentine's perennial favorite - rose petals? Lychee & Rose Petal Martini does use gin so you need to be sure your beloved likes gin (a strong flavor that people have strong feelings about!)
Still haven't found the 'right' cocktail for your romantic evening? How about paying homage to the Roman goddess of love - Venus and trying out the Venus Martini, another gin martini but this time it is offset with delicious raspberries.
Cupid's Cosmo
1 ½ shots vodka
1 shot Grand Marnier
2 shots cranberry juice
½ shot freshly squeezed lime juice
Shake all of the ingredients together with ice and strain into a cocktail glass to serve.
Lychee & Rose Petal Martini
1 ½ shots gin
1 ½ shots rose petal vodka
1 ½ shots lychee syrup (taken from canned lychees)
Shake all of the ingredients together with ice and strain into a martini glass to serve. For a really romantic twist float a rose petal on top.
Venus Martini
6 fresh raspberries
2 ½ shots gin
1 shot triple sec
¼ shot sugar syrup
4 dashes orange bitters
Muddle the raspberries with the gin in the base of the shaker. Pour in the rest of the ingredients, add ice and shake. Strain into a martini glass to serve.
Whisper Cocktail
1 part strawberry liqueur
1 part mango liqueur
1 part fresh lime juice
1 part fresh lemon juice
2 peaches (canned)
ice
Place all of the ingredients together in a blender and blend. Serve in a margarita glass.
Blushtini
1 ½ shots vodka
½ shot vanilla schnapps
½ shot amaretto
½ shot cranberry juice
¾ shot milk
¾ shot double cream
Shake all of the ingredients together with ice and strain into a martini glass to serve.
Chocolate?
A Valentine Day Strawberry?

Valentines Day and strawberries seem to be irrevocably entwined and so it seems only natural that you should want some strawberry cocktails on Valentines Day and it just so happens that I have 2 suggestions for you.
My first suggestion is the classic combo of strawberries and chocolate in the Chocolate Covered Strawberrytini.
My next suggestion is a slightly unusual cocktail - Strawberry & Balsamic Martini - now it might sound unusual to use balsamic vinegar in a cocktail, but trust me this one is another delicious cocktail that I'm sure you'll love.
Chocolate Covered Strawberrytini
2 ½ shots strawberry vodka
1 ½ shots white crème de cacao
1 strawberry
melted chocolate
The day before melt some chocolate and dip the strawberry into it - leave in fridge to harden, it's these little details with the garnish that could 'make' the evening.
Place the vodka and crème de cacao, along with ice in a shaker and then shake well. Strain into a martini glass to serve and place the strawberry on a skewer across the top of the martini glass.
Strawberry & Balsamic Martini
4 fresh hulled strawberries
2 shots vodka
¾ shot strawberry liqueur
¼ shot balsamic vinegar
Muddle the strawberries and vodka in the base of the shaker before pouring in the remaining ingredients along with some ice. Shake well and strain into a martini glass to serve.
Champagne?
What will you be watching?
Snuggler
1 ½ oz Peppermint Schnapps
Hot Chocolate
Pour your Schnapps into a mug and fill with hot chocolate. If you really want to go all out you can top it with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

- As someone who is partial to vodka and cranberry juice, methinks that Cupid's Cosmo would make a perfect lurve cocktail for me. Looks like you have some other cocktails I may like to try too!

- Champagne is always the obvious choice I thought for Valentine's Day. What about sake? You can get one that drinks like a fine wine and have a great date! I've had my eye on a super pricey bottle of Ty ku sake white which is the REALLY really good stuff. I think that might impress a date more than a bottle of Korbel, don't you think?
