Should you let other people get involved in your proposal. This involvement takes many forms, ie, having someone in a restaurant kitchen put the ring in a piece of cake, or having your proposal put on a big screen at a sporting venue. This is where mistakes can happen, the name of your loved one being misspelled or your bride to be might even gag and choke on a wedding ring dropped into a glass of wine or put into a piece of cake. So, I would say make it personal.

This would also be a good idea for a sporting event as well. I am sure that they will put the question "Will you marry me, whoever" on their big board. I have seen "Happy Birthday, Joey" on an NHL game board before.

Of course, if she is willing you could also ask it when you go bungie jumping, this is relatively inexpensive way to ask her the question and to offer her the ring. It is also very exciting and the adrenaline rush could be mistaken for feelings of love.
