Recently, a veteran WoW player named Valkor released a gold making guide claiming it could help players make 200 gold an hour. Just about every WoW player has felt some frustration with the amount of gold they have in the game. I know I would feel that way when I would seem someone race by on their epic mount wearing some really cool gear. Since I sometimes struggle to have enough gold for items and various other WoW desires, I thought I'd try it out and see if it was any good. I'm always a little skeptical with these gold guides. Some are rehashed tips that no longer work or stuff that violates WoW's terms of services (meaning I could get my account banned). Fortunately, Valkor's guide didn't fall into either of these categories.

Right off the bat, I could tell Valkor's Gold Making Guide was different. First of all, it's nicely laid out into different sections. Valkor cover the auction house, professions, merchants that have cheap and/or rare items, good spot to make a lot of gold in a short amount of time. Being somewhat lazy (and poor in WoW terms), I checked this section out first. Valkor lists 17 different locations that provide quick gold. This list doesn't even include some good locations/tips for low level gold making. I was impressed. Scrolling back up to the table of contents, I noticed he has a whole section devoted to the Burning Crusade. This really caught my attention as I haven't seen too many people address good tips for making lots of gold in the Outlands. Also, all of the tips I've read through are 100% legal and in no way violate Blizzard's Terms of Service. No risk of getting my account banned is a good thing in my book.

Excited, I logged on and started using some of the tips I picked up from Valkor's Gold Making Guide. I won't lie and say the gold started flowing in, but I did notice that the more I started using some of his tips, the quicker my gold supply increased. I haven't had a lot of experience with the auction house except for buying some gear on occasion. With Valkor's guide, I can see the value of using the Auction House to really make some gold fast. Right now, I can comfortably make about 100 gold an hour and that's with only using a few of the tips from his guide. I'm sure once I start using more of the tips and really taking advantage of the Auction House, that the gold per hour ratio will increase.

Valkor's Gold Making Guide is a breath of fresh air in terms of World of Warcraft gold making guides. It provides tons of easy to follow information. Valkor even provides proof of how the tips he's given have increased his gold supply. His guide does has a real cost to it ($37), but considering how much it costs to buy gold online (and that your money might disappear with no gold in return), it's a great investment. No risk of getting banned and the ability to make your own gold over and over and over again are both nice benefits in my opinion.
