J.R. Ward,Charlaine Harris, Anne Rice, Stephenie Meyer - just to name a few.
They all write great books and I read them all :)

Check out this large list of great books!

Maybe you know a few I don't have. So feel free to add them to the list.

Usually I read the books when they are translated in german (my native language) but maybe I could also try to read an English book. I understand the language better than I write it :)

So have fun to add as much books to the list as you like and let's have fun voting which is our favourite

Memnoch the Devil

The tale begins in New York, where Lestat, the coolest of Rice's vampire heroes,
is stalking a big-time cocaine dealer and religious-art smuggler--this guy should
get it in the neck. Lestat is also growing fascinated with the dealer's lovely
daughter, a TV evangelist who's not a fraud. read more

The Witching Hour

We watch and we are always here" is the motto of the Talamasca, a saintly
group with extrasensory powers which has for centuries chronicled the lives of
the Mayfairs--a dynasty of witches that brought down a shower of flames in 17th-century
Scotland, fled to the plantations of Haiti and on to the New World, where they
settled in the haunted city of New Orleans. read more

Taltos

Cutting-edge gene mapping intertwines with ancient mysteries in this continuation
of Rice's series of novels about witches and the supernatural. A "taltos"
is the superhuman result of the crossbreeding of two human witches who possess
an extra chromosome; almost a monster, the creature is capable of beastly behavior
fuelled by an extraordinary sex drive. In Lasher , the eponymous offspring of
Michael Curry and Rowan Mayfair of the New Orleans Mayfair witch clan proved to
be just such a mutant; ..... read more

Interview with the Vampire

having suffered a tremendous personal loss, an 18th-century Louisiana plantation
owner named Louis Pointe du Lac descends into an alcoholic stupor. At his emotional
nadir, he is confronted by Lestat, a charismatic and powerful vampire who chooses
Louis to be his fledgling..... read more

Merrick

Vampire David Talbot lobbies Merrick to call Claudia's spirit and slake Louis's
guilt, but Talbot winds up in the grip of an obsession with the witch. You see,
Talbot, unlike most vampires, lived 70 years as a human, so his sexual response
to humans is still as strong as his blood thirst. Merrick can cast spells to make
men crave her, ...read more

The Vampire Armand

Readers of her 1995 novel, Memnoch the Devil, will recall that the vampire Armand
ended his existence by stepping into the sun. Since he was a popular character
from earlier tales, a resounding protest from fans followed. In response, Rice
concocted a way in this, her seventh Vampire Chronicle since Interview with the
Vampire (1976), to raise Armand from the dead. He is, in fact, the narrator of
this story, in which he looks back on his earthly existence, revisiting his apprenticeship
in 16th-century Venice to the regal vampire artist, Marius De Romanus, who saved
his life with the kiss of immortality.... read more

The Queen of the Damned

Akasha was once the queen of the Nile (she has a bit in common with the Egyptian
goddess Isis), and it's unwise to rile her now that she's had 60 centuries of
practice being undead. She is so peeved about male violence that she might just
have to kill most of them. And she has her eye on handsome Lestat with other ideas
as well....read more

Blackwood Farm

Near the dank Sugar Devil Swamp, sinister bayou country where critters far more
fearsome than gators lurk, overheated Quinn Blackwood suffers a protracted case
of adolescent angst driven by his violent love-hate relationship with Goblin,
his spirit-world doppelganger. As heir to Blackwood Farm and an enormous fortune,
Quinn enjoys every luxury the decadent Deep South of Rice's imagination can provide,
from culinary delicacies to Jasmine, .... read more

Pandora

Our heroine, Pandora, a senator's daughter in Augustus Caesar's day, flees to
Antioch when her family gets killed and discovers the antidote to stern Roman
rationalism in the occult wisdom of the East. "Something attacked my reason,"
Pandora writes. "The very thing the Roman Emperors had so feared in Egyptian
cults and Oriental cults swept over me: mystery and emotion which claim a superiority
to reason and law." read more

Stephenie Meyer - Twilight Saga

Twilight books

Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1)

Bella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Bella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Bella, the person Edward holds most dear. read more
New Moon (The Twilight Saga, Book 2)

Grade 9 Up-Recovered from the vampire attack that hospitalized her in the conclusion of Twilight (Little, Brown, 2005), Bella celebrates her birthday with her boyfriend Edward and his family, a unique clan of vampires that has sworn off human blood. But the celebration abruptly ends when the teen accidentally cuts her arm on broken glass. The sight and smell of her blood trickling away forces the Cullen family to retreat lest they be tempted to make a meal of her. After all is mended, Edward, realizing the danger that he and his family create for Bella, .... read more
Eclipse (The Twilight Saga, Book 3)

The third episode of Meyer's vampire-romance series finds heroine Bella Swan anxious to become a vampire and live forever with handsome vampire Edward. Obstacles arise when Edward demands marriage and werewolf Jacob declares his love for Bella. Eventually, the Cullen vampires and the Quileute werewolves unite to face off against a pack of uncontrollable vampires seeking revenge on Bella. Kadushin portrays kindly Edward in soft, warm tones and voices teenager Jacob in more brash, edgy speech patterns..... read more
Breaking Dawn Special Edition (The Twilight Saga)

In Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final installment in the series, Bella's story plays out in some unexpected ways. The ongoing conflicts that made this series so compelling--a human girl in love with a vampire, a werewolf in love with a human girl, the generations-long feud between werewolves and vampires--resolve pretty quickly, apparently so that Meyer could focus on Bella's latest opportunity for self-sacrifice: giving her life for someone she loves even more than Edward...... read more
