Vampire Club Scene

There are many different terms used when referring to the vampire scene so we have listed some of the most commonly used expressions that you may come across:

* Auto-vampirism: When a person drinks their own blood

* Awakening: When a latent vampire realizes and accepts they are a vampire

* Becoming: Conversion process from a non-vampire to a vampire

* Black Swan: Someone who is not a vampire but is involved with a vampire and accepts them as they are

* Bloodplay: Usual sexual ritualistic activities involving blood

* Coming out of the Coffin: When a vampire reveals their true identity to non-vampires

* Court- A get together that takes place monthly for vampires that usually takes place at a Haven.

* Coven: Group of vampires

* Donor: Usually a person who is not a vampire but freely donates their blood to a vampire

* Energy vampire: Get the life force they need from another persons life force without feeding on blood

* Feeding: The act of acquiring life force energy either through consuming blood, energy or elemental energy

* Haven- A safe place for vampires or a vampire nightclub

* House- A group who are united because they follow the same set of beliefs and traditions

* Hunger: Describes the intense need to feed

* Hybrids- Vampires that get their energy both from blood and emotional energy

* Kindred: Other vampires

* Latent vampire: Vampires that are still unaware of their condition

* Psivamp/Psychic vampire: A vampire that feeds off the emotional energy of others

* RPG'er: Someone who plays a vampire in a Role Playing Game

* Sanguinarian: A vampire that consumes blood

* Thirst: Synonym for The Hunger.

* Vampyre: A different spelling of the word vampire that some use to differentiate themselves from the mythical vampires portrayed in movies and literature.

* Seeker: A non-vampire who chooses to be around vampires and wants to be ´turned´

* Sexual vampire: Gets their life force energy from sexual energy

* Vampire lifestyler: Someone who isn´t a vampire but who chooses to dress and ´act´ like the fictional vampires e.g. Goth vamps or glamour vamps

* White Swan: Someone who is against the vampire community

There are enough vampire terms and definitions to fill a dictionary and there are also variations on the the terms used such as ´vampire´and ´vampyre´but this list should certainly give you a basic understanding of vampire terminology which is needed if you want to belong to a Vampires Club.
