Vampire Costumes For Women

You want to appear as if you just stepped out of a Gothic novel, a type of fiction characterized by gloom and darkness with a supernatural plot. You can be found in an eerie or lonely location such as a ruined castle.

Create the illusion that you really are pale not that you have a lot of white makeup on your face. Use a good base makeup and blend it well.

If you have a dark skin tone don't use too much white. Use a base that is two or three shades lighter than your normal base color with a light dusting of white power.

A vampire has a pale ashen complexion that is grayish in tone. To achieve this look you'll need to mix a small amount of gray and green into a large amount of white greasepaint.

You want a subtle look - so add very small amounts of color to the white and then test the shade.

Once you have a good base shade - apply it to all exposed areas of skin, face, ears, neck and hands. Blend the base in well, use a makeup sponge, you want a natural living dead look.

We want our vampire to have a slightly gaunt and sunken look, but not raw boned. So, lightly, apply gray greasepaint under the cheek bones and in the indented part of your temples.

Use a medium size blending brush to blend the gray into subtle shadows. Now you should have a nice sunken appearance.
