Vector Portrait Services.

In order to make a vector portrait, all I need is a high quality image that is big enough for me to make out the features. Digital photos or scanned photos with a resolution of 300dpi is more than enough.

When choosing the photo you'd like to have vectored, keep in mind that the best vectors are those that have a certain depth to them. Try to pick a photo where the person is at and angle or a profile shot.

Here's a before and after example of a vectored photo. As you can see the background in the photograph has been ignored and in the vectored image is replaced with a nice gradient and lighting effect. The background will always be ignored and replaced with the color of your choice, a gradient or a pop art like decor ...the choice is yours.

Please note that I will only do vector images of humans and of only one person per photo. Vector images of pets and group photos are on a case by case basis only and cost a little more.

Once your photo is vectored I can even turn you into cool t-shirt art! These are great to wear when planning a family outing or holiday vacation. Imagine Grandpa's surprise when the whole family is wearing a t-shirt with his smiling face on it for his 60th birthday....priceless!

My turnaround time for vector portraits ranges from a few days to a week, depending on the complexity of the image and my current workload. I spend a lot of time on each vector portrait to ensure quality end results. I will advise you of the delay needed.

A: You can check my online portfolio which has more examples of different styled vectored portraits.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: I only accept payment via PAYPAL, it's easy and secure.

Q: How can I contact you?
A: The best way is by email at fredz[at]lollipoplabs[dot]com. I will respond within the shortest possible delay. Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have.

Q: How will my order be processed?
A: Once I have received your photograph and have approved it to be vectored, I will email you a invoice.

Payment terms are 50% in advance with the balance to be paid upon completion. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.

After receiving the deposit I will immediately start working on the commission. Once it is completed I will email you a watermarked version at which time any edits should be pointed out. After all is complete and I have received the outstanding balance I will email you the finished artwork without watermarks.

Q: Why is there a 50% deposit and why is it non-refundable?
A: I'm serious about what I do and so should the person wanting to have their photo vectored. This condition is in place to make sure nobody wastes their time. By placing the initial deposit you are in acceptance of this term and all that it implies.

Q: How will the artwork be sent?
A: The artwork will be sent to you via email in .eps format together with a .jpg, .png or .gif as required. Eps files can be brought into any vector program and resized without distortion or loss of detail, it is also the preferred file format for output centers or print shops.

Q: How much do you charge and why so little?
A: It's true that there are people charging much more than I do, but I don't believe in overcharging for something I enjoy doing. So I only charge US$50 for a vector portrait.

Q: What is your refund policy?
A: A lot of time is spent on each image and as such any money paid is non-refundable.

Q: One last question, can you vector a photo of a movie star or other famous person I have?
A: No. I don't do vectors of celebrities unless the image ownership can be verified or it's the celebrities themselves that want their photo vectored.

Absolutely! If you would like to have your portrait sized to print greeting cards or any other product on Zazzle.com, I can include a .png file with the required dimensions and resolution. You can then upload the file to your own Zazzle account and order as many prints as you like whenever you like.
