Is the Air Hogs Vectron Wave, Havoc Heli and Zero Gravity Hyped?
The Air Hogs Vectron Wave, Havoc Helicopter and Zero Gravity cars have been advertised heavily on children's TV shows. But, do they live up to the hype? By and large, they do. Below you will find reviews of these hot toys, for kids of all ages. These are not your father's remote control interactive toys.

Does the Air Hogs Vectron Wave Really Hover?
The Vectron has special sensors that allow it to hover continuously and be handled by children. Just take it out of the box, throw 6 "AA" batteries into the controller, turn both on, and it will hover over any flat surface. It has special ground sensors that allow it to detect proximity to the ground and continue to hover.
For special interaction with this hovercraft, use your hand. Normally, The Vectron Wave will just hover above a floor, or table. But, while it is hovering over a flat surface, slip the palm of your hand between it and the floor; it will now react to your hand. By moving your hand up, down or sideways, you can make the craft rise higher, drop, or move sideways. Once you're done playing, dock it in the base for easy re-charging.
If you want a toy that your child will play with for more than 10 minutes, this is it. The Vectron Wave is child size, designed to be used indoors, and can easily be controlled by anyone. It flies as advertised!

Air Hogs Nano Zero Gravity
Do They Really Drive Upside Down?
When on a smooth surface, the Nano has impressive scale-speed. On the floor, it will reach eight inches-per-second, and, on the wall or ceiling, it can reach five inches-per-second. Like most indoor cars, the Nano Zero Gravity needs a good environment. Large, empty wide open indoor spaces are best-think garage or dining room floors. In order to cling and move quickly, all floors and walls should be clean and smooth. Additionally, it will glide over glass tables or windows. If your walls are textured, the car will still run but may have difficulty sticking or have a degraded speed. A switch on the Nano's back activates the Venturi fan which allows it to cling to walls and ceilings.
But, that's not all. The coolest feature is the fact that you can hold unusual races. Different Nano car models have different frequencies, and that allows multiple cars to race simultaneously. They can be raced around tracks on the floor, an obstacle course on the wall, or, even upside down on the ceiling or the underside of a table. The Urban Chase System (sold separately) fits this purpose perfectly: all the pieces and parts you need for designing the ultimate unorthodox chase course. On the cheap, just simply rope off your track or draw on the wall. This makes the Nano ideal for Boy or Girl Scout meetings, younger show-and-tells, or neighborly sleepovers.
Despite being small, these cars don't go on forever. When the headlights start flashing, the car needs recharged. Simply park the Nano inside the controller/charger, and in 30 minutes, you'll be back in action. The controller requires six "AA" batteries (not included).
With an amazing ability to cling to walls, ceilings, tables, glass or other smooth surface, the Air Hogs Nano Zero Gravity race car has no boundaries. It is small, lite, compact, and durable and moves fairly quickly. With a flip-of-the-switch, you can change from racing on the floor, to driving and racing on the wall or ceiling. This car is perfect for your budding racer, scientist or artist.

Air Hogs Havoc Heli
Better Than the New Vectron Wave?
The Havoc is controlled by infrared light, not by radio. The controller / transmitter also serves as the charger for the helicopter. The controller has three "channels" (labeled "A", "B", and "C") built into it. When you take it out of the box, just switch to the appropriate channel to control up to three Air Hogs Havoc helicopters at once; no reported channel interference. Red trim helicopters use the "A" channel; the yellow trimmed ones use the "B" channel, blue uses the "C" channel. Through the controller, the Havoc moves in all directions: up, down, left, right, hover.
When re-charging the helicopter, turn on the controller / transmitter and dock the Havoc. Turn off the switch on the helicopter, plug the charge cord in, and turn on the controller / transmitter. When the helicopter is fully charged, the controller's green LED will go off. After another 5 minutes, the controller's power red LED will blink and then the whole system will shut down; this is to conserve your "AA" batteries. A 20 minute charge will give you 10 minutes of flight time.
The Air Hogs Havoc Heli Heli is small, fast, durable and easily controlled. It may be used indoor or outdoor. The Havoc is perfect for learning how to control small aircraft, or understanding flight dynamics. Though you need batteries for the controller, the Heli is completely rechargeable. Because each helicopter can have its own channel, you and your friends can race these helicopters, or engage them in mock aerial battles.
