170 Free Things To Do In Vegas

Welcome to Cheap Discount Vegas Vacations.

I am going to be sharing you some really great travel
tips on vacation in Vagas for less. I'm talking about hotel
discounts, car rental discounts, show ticket discounts.

GETTING THE BEST ROOM RATES IN LAS VEGAS

Plan your Las Vegas trip during the week rather than weekends.

Decide how long you want to stay in Vegas for. Many hotels offer lower room rates the longer you stay.

Many of the downtown casinos and hotels are cheaper than
accommodation on the Strip.

Look into hotels that are not on Las Vegas Boulevard. They have bargain room rates.

If you are staying for a week then ask what the weekly room rate is.

Plan your Vegas trip well ahead to get the best rates. Most Vegas hotels have an incredible 90 percent occupancy rate. An incredible 63 percent of Las Vegas visitors book at least two weeks in advance.

Look out for hotels offering a free night if you stay for three or more nights in Vegas.

Book your hotel on an airline website.

Best Buffets In Las Vegas

Best buffets in Las Vegas?

ALADDIN - The Spice Market Buffet gets very good reviews. It is good value for money and the quality is high. Breakfast is $10.99, lunch is $12.99, dinner is $18.99

BELLAGIO - The price may seem a little higher than other buffets but their quality is extremely high and if you try my trick for getting lunch and dinner for the price of one meal then the Bellagio could be the way to go. Breakfast is $13.95, lunch is $18.95 and dinner is $26.95-$28.95

PARIS - Lines are usually long at this buffet. It has positioned itself as one of the top 5 buffets in Vegas. Breakfast is $10.95, lunch $14.95, dinner $21.95.

MAIN STREET STATION - this one is cheaper than the ones above and has a wonderful atmosphere and a huge variety. Breakfast is $5.29, lunch is $7.49 and dinner is $10.29

CAESARS BUFFET - This buffet does not have a huge selection but the quality again is very good.

MIRAGE - Great service, great food at a great price.

THE REGENT IN SUMMERLIN - This hotel is located around 10 miles from The Strip. They have cut down their hours but dinner is $13.95.

RIO CARNIVAL WORLD BUFFET - Lines here are among the longest in town. Global dining at its best - Brazilian, Mexican, Italian, Cantonese, Japanese, the list goes on.

There are so many buffets to choose from in Vegas that it's always a lot easier to know in advance where the food's really good so your money is well spent.

There are many buffets and restaurants, cafes etc that have really rock bottom prices. Some of them are actually good value for money. There are also some where you do get what you pay for.

Free Shows in Las Vegas!

Las Vegas is an expensive city to visit. With casinos, expensive shows, rides, restaurants and everything else that's available it can get expensive real fast. So what self respecting Vegas visitor would ever pay full price if they didn't have to? There are a lot of free events and places to visit and by visiting these a person can save quite a bit of money.

The first big thing I would recommend visiting is the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens offers a delight to the eyes of the beholder. All the senses are stimulated as you see the sights and inhale the fragrance of the flowers that are seasonal highlights of plants, flowers, and produce. Each season offers new delights to the senses and because there is NO admission fee we cannot recommend visiting this enough. It is also a great place for a photo op to help you remember your time in Las Vegas.

If you have seen Oceans 11 you know at the end of the movie they stand outside looking at a huge water fountain display. That amazing display is the fountains of Bellagio Casino. These shows consist of more than 1000 fountains that shoot water up in unison with music. Lights go off as well. They have variety of the songs really is endless so check by often. It is completely free so really do check back often. Just about every half hour or so after 3pm on weekdays and noon on weekends you can see this spectacle in person. I highly recommend it.

The next great freebie? How about a CIRCUS!??! Totally free, and great for the whole family, the Circus Acts show put on at Circus Circus is perfect. Different acts perform at each show that happen every half hour daily between 11 am and midnight. The thrills of a circus are a great way to spend an afternoon.

Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall, another casino in Vegas offers great a great free show as well. Theirs consists of lasers and water and is done daily at 2:00, 6:00, 8:00, and 10:00. The coolest part of the show is that it takes place in a 9-story building that has a mix natural habitat of live trees, greenery, waterfalls, and trails built throughout it.

The Carnivale is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Brazil and so of course Vegas has to have an equivalent. The Masquerade Show in the Sky, a free show put on where floats come by floating on the sky. The show is free to watch, But if you want to participate by riding one of the floats, the cost is 13 dollars. The floats are suspended from the ceiling and this is considered the best free show in Vegas.

Yet another one of the diverse attractions in Vegas is the Aquarium at the Silverton Hotel and Casino's. Totally free to get into it features saltwater and freshwater fish in their natural habitats. Everyone is sure to enjoy this exotic attraction. Educational, fun and free. Does it get any better for a family attraction? I don't think so and this kind of opportunity is especially rare in Vegas

The Sirens of Ti is a great pirates show at Treasure Island Casino. Playing daily as the weather allows, this show is great for kids of all ages. With pirates and captains, sea battle and adventures, this exciting show will enthrall everyone. I highly recommend this show, it is my personal favorite while in Vegas.

Free entertainment is often the best entertainment that can be found. You can't beat the value of it. Even if the things suggested here you think are the most boring things you have ever heard of, hey at least they are free to get into so even if they are super boring, its not costing you anything. Vegas is a very expensive city to visit if you don't choose your adventures wisely so I highly recommend that you take a look at many of these shows and places to visit and save yourself some money. You can use that money on the tables you know! Have a great trip to Vegas.

Vegas Vacation Tips

Most likely if you are flying into Las Vegas you are coming into McCarran International Airport. This is the nation's fifth largest airport and could be the only one with slot machines in it. Located just south of the Vegas strip this airport has all the shuttles, taxis and rental cars at your finger tips. Figure on paying $15-$20 for a taxis to the hotels on the strip and about $45 dollars to take one all the way downtown Vegas.

Getting around the main Vegas strip is a piece of cake. Most casinos and hotels are located along the 4 mile strip or Las Vegas Boulevard South. Many non gaming hotels and the Las Vegas Convention Center lie on Paradise Road which is located just east of the strip. If you ever get lost just look for the Stratosphere Hotel which is at the north end of the Vegas Boulevard and can be seen from all around.

You may not want to walk the 4 miles of the Vegas strip specially in the mid summer heat which has been known to get up to 120 degrees at times. Fortunately there is plenty of public and paid transportation all over the town. You could take the monorail if you want and most of the off strip hotels and casinos run their own shuttle and concierge service.

When you go to Las Vegas on vacation there is a lot to see and do. Just remember don't gamble more than you have, don't wonder off in the desert and always remember "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."

Are you looking for Las Vegas Specials or a Map of Las Vegas? Either way don't loose too much at Texas Holdem
