Make Every Monday Vegetarian Day
Meatless Monday provides information and reminders to help people eat healthy food in moderation. Research has shown that adding a time factor to a campaign when to start eating healthy helps people to change their behavior. Monday is the beginning of our week, and a great time to start the week on a healthy note. Or better yet, become a weekday vegetarian.

- I am not a vegetarian, but I do appreciate vegetarian food as I eat vegetarian meals about 3/4 of the time! Also, I can believe I missed putting this lens link in my 365 Holidays lens. I have fixed that now!

- Another wonderful lens...I didn't know about the World Vegetarian Day until just now. I did read The China Study and I'm trying to make more and more meatless meals. I've got several good vegetarian cookbooks and I have yet to find a recipe that I don't like :-) How cool is that?

- Thank you for including non-vegetarians in your holiday lens. I dislike the judgmental tone that some vegetarians have towards meat-eaters. None of that here. :-)
You're officially blessed!

- Meatless Mondays sound great! I think it's doable for us, esp. since my kids hate meat. I spent 8 years as a veg., but it's hard to maintain when your spouse is a meat lover. Some of my fave meals are vegetarian, though! Terrific lens, 5*****

- I have been a vegetarian since I was aged 7. My children have never eaten meat. Things have changed so much over the years and this kind of diet is so much more acceptable - it used to be thought of as so strange!

- My kind of holiday! My husband and I started making more compassionate food choices about 18 years ago after being enlightened about the horrors of factory farming. I think it's wonderful to have a day to make more people more aware of the meat-free options, especially schools. I'm lucky that my daughters now attend a school where they offer healthy lunch options for vegetarian students, but most are not so lucky and end up eating side dishes and carrot sticks instead of a meal.
