Ventriloquist and Comedian Jeff Dunham

Jeff Dunham is an American ventriloquist and a stand-up comedian. A graduate from Baylor University, he has performed on numerous comedy shows, including Comedy Central Presents in 2003.

His usual puppets include a Woozle named Peanut, a bitter old man named Walter, and José Jalapeño - a talking jalapeño pepper on a stick.

His first DVD, "Jeff Dunham: Arguing With Myself," was released in April 2006. In this stand-up offering, Jeff opens his show playing straight-man to his usual crew and includes two other characters: Sweet Daddy D and Bubba J.

His new comedy special, "Jeff Dunham: Spark of Insanity," was available at Redbox stands on September 4 2007, and was released to buy on DVD September 18 2007. The DVD features Peanut, José, Walter, Melvin the Super Hero, and Achmed the Dead Terrorist.Source: Wikipedia

Jeff Dunham has created a wonderful cast of characters for his comedy routine. Here is a little about each member.

Jeff has some great skits on marriage, kids, cars, and he will have you dying of laughter.

Achmed is a terrorist. A dead terrorist. Only he doesn't know he's dead. He calls Jeff "Infidel" and his best line is, "Silence! I kill you."

Walter is a grumpy old man that hates everything - especially his wife. From his views on the terrorist situation to his wisecrack about marriage, Walter will have you rolling on the floor with laughter.

Peanut is a purple woozle and he can be very annoying. His laugh is hilarious and he has a thing about getting right in Jeff's face when he wants to.

Melvin is a super hero with a few special powers. He can fly (as far as Jeff can throw him), see through clothes, and he loves to battle terrorists.

Jose is a jalepeno (on a stick). He is a secondary character to Jeff's skit with Peanut and their act will have you roaring with laughter.

What I like the most about Jeff's routine is that it is absolutely hilarious! Jeff and the suitcase posse have my husband and I rolling every time we watch. The show is witty and fun.

The show is aimed at adults, but is clean enough for older children as well. My kids love the puppets and love to watch the shows on video over and over again.

One of the best things about Jeff is his ability to switch from one character to another. I don't know how he keeps up. He changes voices and personality so smoothly (and quickly) and stays in character so well that you almost forget he is talking to puppets.

Also, his puppets are so realistic. With eyebrow lifts, and facial movements you wouldn't think possible on a ventriloquist dummy, the comedy act is superb.

Jeff Dunham is my favorite comedian for many reasons and I encourage you to catch his act and see for yourself.

Jeff: So, you're a terrorist?
Achmed: Yes, I am a terrorist.
Jeff: What kind of terrorist?
Achmed: A terrifying... terrorist.

Jeff: So, Achmed, if you're a terrorist, I would suppose you have some kind of specialty?
Achmed: Yes, I am a suicide bomber.
Jeff: So, you're finished.
Achmed: What?
Jeff: You've done you're job.
Achmed: No, I haven't.
Jeff: But you're dead.
Achmed: No, I'm not. I feel fine.
Jeff: But you're all bone.
Achmed: It's a flesh wound.

Jeff: Listen, Achmed. I have something to tell you.
Achmed: What?
Jeff: You really are dead.
Achmed: Are you sure?
Jeff: Yes.
Achmed: I just got my flu shot.
Jeff: You really are dead.
Achmed: Wait, if I'm dead... that means I get my 72 virgins.
(looks out at the audience)
Are you my virgins?
I hope not.
Jeff: Why?
Achemd: There's a bunch of ugly ass guys out there. If this is paradise, I've been screwed!
Jeff: Well, did they say it would be only female virgins?
Achmed: Holy crap!
