Is The Vertical Project a scam or does it work?

Hello everyone.

I'm Tal, an avid fan of sports, and also an enthusiastic amateur player of many ball games - I have played, or still play, virtually any game that involves a ball (round or otherwise) or a puck.

everyone knows how important vertical jump is to all sorts of ball games; basketball, volleyball, tennis, soccer, football, baseball, and moreĀ - they all rely heavily on the player's ability to jump high. Vertical jump abilitiy often seals the fateĀ of plays; it makes or breaks your performance.

In this lens I will review one of the leading vertical jump enhancement programs - The Vertical Project. Having been a less-than-average leaper myself, I can testify to the results of this amazing program.

The Vertical Project makes many promises. In their main headline, for example, they say that 6 inches of vertical leap gain in 60 days is peanuts for them, and that you can as much as DOUBLE your vertical leap. Whenever I run into such promotion stuff, I take it with a grain of salt; don't you get that twinge of doubt when you see promises that look unreal? I know I did when I first encountered The Vertical Project.
But being a dedicated, albeit ameteur, player of basketball, soccer, and other ball games - I owed it to myself to try.

One other thing talked me into trying: Luke Lowrey, the creator of The Vertical Project, gives away $100 to you if you fail to add at least 6 inches to your vertical jump in 60 days. In addition to giving the money you paid back, of course. I took his word for it, and figured, Hey, if this doesn't work, at least I made $100.

The Vertical Project: the basketball part, or: how it showed me how to dunk

from less-than-average leaper to a dunker at age 36 and 5'11"

In several sports I play, vertical leap is imperative; in basketball, I guess it's common knowledge that vertical leap is vital. It enables you to rebound, even over bigger guys; to shoot while jumping higher, avoiding your shot being blocked and getting better looks at the rim; it makes you win loose balls flying in the air. In defense, it makes you an effective shot blocker; and the highlight of it all, if you jump high enough, it enables you to dunk.

I had been a less-than-average leaper all my life; it hurt my basketball performance in a huge way. I have come to accept that I will never jump any higher, and in fact, with age, my jump will diminish even further - as indeed it has. until The Vertical Project.

It didn't take long for me to see initial results: I began grabbing more rebounds, and scoring over guys bigger than me. My shooting got better because of more free looking time at the rim. Eventually, the unthinkable happened - I actually dunked.

They say that you never forget the first time of any good thing that happened to you; I can tell you firsthand that you never forget your first dunk. And the best part of it all is that I'm not 21 anymore - I did it at the worse half of my thirties!

So, did it actually double my vertical leap like they promised they would? honestly, I don't know; I don't carry a meter when I play basketball. But I do know this: I'm 5'11"; that's not small compared to the average guy on the street, but not big on the basketball court. I can testify that there is no greater feeling - at least as far as basketball goes - than performing an in-your-face dunk over guys who are bigger than me - and in my case, younger than me...

The Vertical Project: the soccer part, or: how it made me overcome my biggest goalkeeping weakness

my goalkeeping: The unchallenged ruler of the penalty box

Let's take another sport I still play intensively: soccer. I was, and still am, a very good soccer goalkeeper; In my youth, I was thought to have a professional future. Perhaps what prevented me from turning pro was my biggest weakness - handling balls being crossed into my penalty box. because of my, shall we say, not so great vertical leap, I was often outmatched by tall strikers who rose to head the ball toward my goal - even though I had the advantage of being able to use my hands!

That has also changed dramatically by The Vertical Project. As I approach my forties, it is too late for me to become a pro; but in any game I play today, I am the unchallenged ruler of the airspace over my penalty box. This should be the goalkeeper's domain, and now it is mine.

The Vertical Project helped me with that. I'm not the kind of guy to look back and think "what if...", but I can't help wondering sometimes what would have happened if I had known The Vertical Project when I was 18, 21, or 25...

The Vertical Project: the tennis part, or: how my net play has been transformed

Blowing opponents with smashes instead of struggling with their lobs

When I was seven, a huge tennis center opened at walking distance from my home; I was one of the first tennis students they had. It remains one of my favorite games until this very day.

I'm an offense-minded player; I like to run to the net whenever I get the chance, even serve-and-volley if I get a good first serve in. but my vertical jump made me vulnerable to lobs; when my opponent would try to lob over me, I often struggled - returned feeble shots which gave my opponent easy passing shots from close range, or had to run back to the baseline and return from a tough situation. None of the guys I played with was named Roger Federer; but it didn't take Federer skills to lob over me.

This is where The Vertical Project came into the picture; Nowadays, pretty much every lob attempt by my opponent ends with a thundering smash right back at him. An easy point won. The Vertical Project made my life on the tennis court a lot easier.

Your sport and vertical jump

TheVerticalProject can help you too

I could go on and on about The Vertical Project, and about other sports I've played - or still do - in which The Vertical Project has improved my performance.

Do you play Volleyball? If you do, whether on the beach or in a building, you know that there may be no other sport in which vertical jump is as important. it's heavily involved in every spike, every block, and often also in serves.

Do you play baseball? ever seen those amazing catches that save a guaranteed home run? or perhaps football? catching a long pass from the quarterback? or maybe you're a defender and want to intercept that pass? either way, vertical jump may be the decider on whether YOU can make the play, or not. I believe you can.

"OK", you say, "I'm not 5'11'' like you... is that possible for me too?"

Nothing is life is 100% guaranteed, I guess. If you're smaller than me, you'll have to leap higher to catch up; but then again, I'm not getting any younger, so jumping higher than me is probably more than possible. The Vertical Project has helped a lot of people like me add significant inches to their leap; many of them are smaller than me. So even if you're not 5'11'', The Vertical Project can help you achieve beyond what you think is possible for you.

Hey Darius.
I know a> helped me. Will it halp you? Perhaps. Remember nothing in life is sure, but if it's something you want so much - it's worth the shot. And hey, if it fails, you can always get your money back AND take an extra $100. Either way I guess you win something.
Good luck!

Hi Joe,
You can do that, I'm sure. If I could, anybody can. The Vertical Project is what helped me, but there may be other ways out there. check out VerticalLeapCenter for them.
Keep in mind that you will not dunk by sitting on a couch. you still have to go out and make the effort and train. all The Vertical Project does is show you how. From there it's up to you. I know you can do it.
