You did not need to be a prophet to know that the 100km winds and a super hot summer day at 45 degrees was a bad combination.
I live less than 10 km from the bush fires on that 2009 Saturday, the smoke was in the air for days.
But only about a fifth of the smoke blew my way, all the streets were blocked off and no one was allowed even near the fire zones.
We heard news of people preparing to leave with a 15 minute window to escape, but in less than 5 minutes the houses were on fire.

The energy releases was said to be more than 1500 Hiroshima bombs.
The photos of the area were like a bomb dropped.

Special priest cardinals walked the out skirts of the fire zone.
And tones of grievance notices came to light.

What is worse we know that many our National Australian Security lived in that area affected. No news has been heard. It was not the entire team living there, South Australia is more of a base for them.
