Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, Duchess of Västergötland , Victoria Ingrid Alice Désirée Bernadotte; born 14 July 1977 is the heiress apparent to the Swedish throne. She is currently the world's only female heir apparent to a royal throne.
The 24 of February 2009 the official announcement that Her Royal highness now is engaged to be married to Daniel Westling!
The wedding will take place19th of June 2010 at 15.30 in Storkyrkan in Stockholm. and the preparations are already starting. Many high officials and royalities from the whole world will be invited to the happy ceremony!
A great part of Sweden is already selling and buying souvenirs, plates with their photos on, newspapers, pictures, flags and special wedding items. It is like a national great party is coming up. Swedish TV is going to broadcast the most major event all time in their existence. Now you have many options how to follow the two on their trip through Stockholm's streets. They will travel in a golden cart so everybody get a chance to wave of take a photo or just look. The celebrations start at June 6th (The official national day of Sweden) and will go on till the wedding. Already now they are building grand stands along the route of the procession.

Daniel Westling is the boyfriend of the Crown Princess Victoria since 2002. In the end of May 2009 he had a planned kidney transplant. The doner was his father. All went well.

The future home for Crown princess Victoria
Today in the news is that Haga Castle will be the future home for The Crown princess and her husband. When Victorias father - our present king Carl Gustav XI - was a little boy, he and his 4 sisters were playing in the surroundings of this beautiful castle!
The place is used for conferences today and it is still not certain in how big part of it they will live. Here you have a link in English to read more:

Representing Sweden
As heir apparent to the throne, the Crown Princess is a working member of the Swedish Royal Family with her own agenda of official engagements and she holds a significant supportive role to her father. Victoria attends the regular Advisory Council on Foreign Affairs and the information councils with Government ministers headed by the King and steps in as a temporary regent (Riksföreståndare) when it is needed. Victoria also takes part in the regular official dinners hosted by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, state visits to Sweden, high level and official visits from foreign dignitaries, the opening of the Riksdag (Parliament), celebrations of the Swedish National Day and the annual Nobel festivities.The declaration of the Crown Princess's majority (coming of age) took place at a ceremony in the Hall of State at the Royal Palace of Stockholm on 14 July 1995, when she delivered her first speech to the Riksdag (Parliament).
The Crown Princess has made many official trips abroad as a representative of Sweden. Her first major, official visit on her own was to Japan in the autumn of 2001, where she promoted Swedish tourism, design, music, environmental sustainability and gastronomy during the "Swedish Style" event. That same year, Victoria also travelled to the west coast of the United States were she participated in the celebrations of the Nobel centenary.
Victoria has traveled extensively as representative for Sweden during her life. Some of the countries she has visited include Egypt, China, Brazil, Australia, Uganda, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Japan, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Italy.

In 2008 it's the thirtieth time the celebration takes place on the sportsarena of Borgholm. Our goal for this year is to gather all former candidates to participate!
We are looking forward to a new and exciting Victoriasday celebration and we are working hard to make the next years event as successful as this years event, with celebrities and top performers of sports!
This year the sailing ship "Tre Kronor af Stockholm", with focus on environment, will be a part of Victoriadagen. The Crownprincess Victoria is the godmother of the ship, which will arrive Borgholm's harbour on Juli 13, with reservation for the weather and tide.

I remember when I saw photos of Crown Princess Victorias father - now King Carl XVI Gustav - when he was a little boy running around with toys and a horse on Solliden. He also had four very pretty sisters that the photographers just loved.
Today I have read that Crown Princess Victoria and her Daniel Westling will be there this summer.
