If you are thinking about a video game designer jobs then you must first understand what the job functions are. The game designers have to deal with many different aspects of the game at a high level. You must be concerned with the layout of the gameworld and the type of gameplay. This all must be unified under a single cohesive overall concept for the game. You will be involved with writing specifications and proposals. With a few years experience that amount could approach about $70,000. Lead game designers command much higher salaries going on up to $90,000 or beyond. Please keep in mind these figures are changing all the time and should not be taken as gospel.
