Issue 1 - Wii Overview

Welcome to issue 1 of my series of Video Games Secrets. This issue will be all about secrets in Wii video games. This edition is a simple overview; a few secrets from each game, which will all have their own issue. After I finish with Wii, I will move on to a new console, and the cycle repeats itself.

Video Game Secrets is a collection of secrets that I have discovered or been told about, that may make a game easier, change the looks of something, or perhaps do absolutely nothing at all.

Each game will have a maximum of three secrets in this overview edition.

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Secret #1: Always Daytime

You need to be able to get to the City in the Sky. Go there, then go back to wherever you want to be, and it will be day time.

Secret #2: Distract the final boss form

A very useful secret. The true final boss can be distracted by the fishing rod. Just cast it out while Z-Targeting him and his head will turn to look at the lure. Put the fishing pole away and give no mercy with your sword :D

Secret #3: Easy fishing!

This trick is useful when you need to catch some fish. Go into the little fishing village, transform into wolf and start digging up the dirt mounds behind the entrance sign. You will find some worms.

Scoop them up with a bottle, and use them as bait. Your fishing will now be a LOT easier. :)

Mario Kart Wii

Secret #1: POW Blocks.

When you see the POW block come up onto the screen, flick the Wii Wheel just before the third strike to grant yourself 'immunity'. If pulled off successfully, you will jump and spin around once but will be going at full speed after landing.

Secret #2: Speedy Restart

If you have fallen into a pit, hit the accelerate button as soon as your kart/bike touches the track after Lakitu drops you to come back with speed.

Secret #3: Mii Weight

Changing the weight of your Mii in the Mii channel will alter their weight class in Mario Kart. Low weight on the Mii channel = small, medium weight on the Mii channel = medium, and high weight on the Mii channel = heavy/big.

Super Mario Galaxy

Secret #1: Racing Cosmic Mario

When the countdown timer starts, hold forward, then as it hits 2, hold down Z, and when the race starts hit A right away. If done correctly, you'll get a nice boost that will put you well ahead of Cosmic Mario.

Super Paper Mario

Secret #1: Unlimited 3D

Beat the Flopside pit of 100 trials twice, and collect the Mario card. You can now be in 3D mode forever.

Secret #2: Arcade

Not everyone actually knows there is an arcade in Super Paper Mario. Go into 3D mode in the Flipside coffee shop (B1) and you will see a gold pipe. This is the pipe that takes you to the arcade.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Secret #1: Item locations

To reveal all item locations on your map, Go to the place in Skytown when you have to get the first part of the bomb. Near the bottom there is some Phazite, shoot the switch inside to activate the satelite system. Go to the top and go around the walls using the spiderball tracks and bomb all the bomb slots to get markers on your map for where every expansion(missle, ship missle, and E tanks) is in every part of the game. Unfortunately, this excludes the Valhalla.

A final note

Please note that these secrets come from the top of my head. I will update whenever I remember another secret, or when I see something in dire need of updating.

Also, as I get new games, I will discover new secrets. This will be another reason for me to update, so please don't fret if there's a secret thats not here.

Please remember that each game will have it's own issue. When each issue is uploaded, I will leave a link in the correct section here.

If you wish, you may also send me an email or message telling me of a secret I missed.
