Super Mario Galaxy Secrets and Gameplay
Welcome to a very belated issue four of Video Game Secrets. I am very sorry for the delay, but you know how busy life can be, eh?
This issue will focus specifically on secrets and unlockables for Super Mario Galaxy.
Secrets
Secret #1: Racing Cosmic MarioWhen the countdown timer starts, hold forward, then as it hits 2, hold down Z, and when the race starts hit A right away. If done correctly, you'll get a nice boost that will put you well ahead of Cosmic Mario.
Secret #2: Coconut = Watermelon
If you collect max star bits (9999), all coconuts will become watermelons!
Unlockables
Unlockable #1: Play as LuigiBeat the game and then use the same save file to continue collecting the stars until you have all 120. After you do this, you can start another game with the same file, however you can do this as Luigi!
Unlockable #2: Grand Finale Galaxy
Collect 120 stars with both Mario and Luigi. Then, beat the final Bowser level and beat Bowser. After this, you can go to the Grand Finale Galaxy, which should seem so familiar to you. This galaxy is in fact the place where the starting cutscene/sequence took place!
Unlockable #3: Death Count
Collect the 121st star from the Grand Finale Galaxy with both Mario and Luigi, and you will be able to see your death count on your save file!
