Lightworks is a video editing software package that originated from the now-defunct Lightworks Inc. with it's roots as a commercial product that was used to edit major motion pictures it is feature ladden for a product that is now freely available as open source software. It is not the easiest to use product, but when you consider the number of features it is well worth a little bit extra (and it truly only requires an extra hour compared to some of the other more basic tools) effort in learning.
