First, you need to understand your market that your business is marketing to before you even start making your videos.

Next, a little bit of planning will go a long way to helping you create better videos. Plus you'll need to understand a bit of the technicalities or the components to a good marketing video.

1. Brainstorming For Ideas
Before doing anything, you need to have an idea for the video. Spend a few minutes trying to visualize what a killer promotional video might look like%u2026 You can even go to websites like Youtube and check out what your competitors are doing or what other people in other niches are doing. This can help spark your creativity!

Then from the idea, you need to create a script or story board of the video, frame per frame and also add in the background music to make it more professional.

2. Video Capturing Hardware
You can capture video footages using a simple digital camera, web cam or even your handphone. These are enough for anyone who is just starting out and if you do not want to invest too heavily in a camcorder.

3. Web Video Capturing Software Programs
After you have captured all the video footages, you'll need tools to help you put everything together, stitch the footages up, add in the music and voice. Here are some of the great video editing software you can use :
