Town of Vienna, Virginia, is located about 14 miles from Washington DC. Unlike much of suburban Virginia, Vienna has 250 years of history and the small town feel (2000 census of 14,453).

In July 2005 Money Magazine listed Vienna as the 4th in the list of 100 place places to live in America. The secret is out.

Arts, Parks and Recreation in Vienna 

Vienna Community Center
A wide variety of programs are at the Town's Community center. Classes for tots, art shows, teen center, sports activities, pottery and who can miss the bocce court.
Wolftrap Park for Performing Arts
On the north edge of town is America's National Park for the Performing Arts. It is best known for the Filene Center and the outdoor summer concerts. The Barns is open the rest of the year seating 284 for an extremely wide variety of music. In the summer the Opera is in The Barns. Education is the fourth activity.
Jammin' Java
In the center of town is one of the top music clubs in the DC area. Jammin' Java featurs local acts as well as Grammy winners. Seats about 180 with a nice Cafe. The Brindley brothers do a great job and are active in the community.
W&OD Trial
This 45 mile Rail-to-Trail cuts through the middle of town. It offers biking, hiking, horseback riding and other fun from DC to the Blue Ridge. Maintained by the Northern Virginia Park Authority, this link is the the Friends of the W&OD. Great history too.
Town's Park and Rec Info
The town has many parks including one just for dogs. Youth sports abound. Fireworks on the Fourth are wonderful and the Haloween Parade is not to be missed.
Westwood Country Club
Private golf course in the town limits with tennis, swimming and other amenities.
Spring Hill Rec Center
Though not in the town, a public recreation center with an indoor pool, fitness center, and more is nearby.
Potomac Appalachian Trial Club
Headquatered in Vienna, the club volunteers maintains 240 miles of the Appalachian Trial, most the the trails in the Shenandoan National Park, Rock Creek Park trails in DC and others. Or go for a hike.
