View Mugshots Of Inmates

Here's how we used to view mugshots of inmates in the old days. I can remember as a child going to the local Post Office with my mom and brother. While mom was waiting in line to mail her Christmas packages my brother and I would run right over to the mugshots displayed on the wall. As children we had a great fascination for mugshots. That was the best part of going to the Post Office.

One day while looking through the mugshots we thought we saw someone we knew. We thought we saw an uncle of ours. We got scared at first really scared. We tried to drag our mom away from the counter to come and look. Of course she made us wait until she was done. This guy looked like a second cousin of ours. It turns out he was an exact look alike and not our cousin. Thank God! We talked about that for years. We had some laughs with our cousin over that one. Those were great times everything seemed so innocent and guarded back then. Not like today. I don't think the Post Office carries mugshots anymore. At least I haven't seen them there for a very long time.

There are many websites online that post mugshots. Most are celebrity mugshots and lots of different crazy or funny mugshots. I really don't know of any that allow you to actually search for a particular person, city, county or state for free. These are more for entertainment than anything else.

I found one site mugshots.com that has lot's of mugshots to look at. That's a pretty good domain name. That must of cost a bundle. For such a great domain name it would seem to me that the site would be better organized and better made. I mean it's not bad but it could have been done a little better. All in all it is still a pretty cool and interesting site. They allow you to post text comments on the site for free. I don't know why but mugshots are so interesting. Once you start looking at them you just can't seem to stop.

Now of course these types of sites are just for fun and all but if you are looking for a particular inmate in a particular city, county or state then they aren't very helpful.
