When I was a teenager I listened and sang songs of Viktor Tsoy.

There is many opinions about Viktor Tsoy - some think that he was a prophet and some even believe that he is god.

He wrote his songs in a way that was very different from the usual style of music of that day. The words of his songs seemed to have some kind of special meaning.

Viktor Robertovich Tsoi (; 21 June 1962, Leningrad, USSR ? 15 August 1990, Tukums, Latvia, USSR) was a Soviet rock musician, leader of the band Kino.

He is regarded as one of the pioneers of Russian rock and has a lot of devoted fans across the countries of the former Soviet Union even today. Few musicians in the history of Russian music have been more popular or have had more impact on their genre than Viktor Tsoi and his rock band Kino.

Tsoi contributed a plethora of musical and artistic works, including ten albums. He died in a car accident in August 15 1990.

Biography of Viktor Tsoy...

1962 - Viktor Tsoy is born in Leningrad, USSR.

1974-77 - Viktor together with Maxim Pashkov organizes a rock band "PALATA No 6".

1981 - Viktor, Alexy Rybin and Oleg Valinsky organize a rock band "GARIN I GIPERBOLOIDY".

1982 - An album "45" is released. Tsoy meets Marianna. First concerts of "KINO" and "AKVARIUM" together.

1983 - Alexy Rybin leaves the band. Viktor finishes his record "46".

1984 - An album "Natchalnik Kamchatki" is released.

1984 - The second unit of "KINO" is formed: Tsoy, Kasparyan, Titov, Guryanov. Later Titov is replaced by Igor Tikhoromirov.

1985 - Viktor marries Marianna.

1985 August, 5th - Marianna gives birth to their son Sasha.

1985 - An album "Eto nye lyubov' " is released.

1986 - An album "Notch" is released.

1986 - Victor pursues his acting career in
1.Rashid Nugmanov's "Konets kanikul"
2.Alexy Utchitel's "Rock"
3.Sergei Soloviev's "Assa"
4.Alexy Utchitel's "Posledniy geroi"

1988 - An album "Gruppa krovi" is released.

1988 - "Igla"- Rashid Nugmanov's second movie with Viktor Tsoy is released.

1989 - An album "Posledniy geroi" is released in France.

1989 - A record "Zvezda po imeni Solntse" is released. A trip to USA.

1990 - A trip to Japan. The last album is recorded, and is released after his death as "Cherniy Album"

1990, August 15th - Viktor Tsoy tragically dies in a car crash.
