Make a formal complaint to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Email the news media and business press. Let's create a sky full of substantive smoke that even Bear Sterns can no longer afford to ignore denials and protestations whining "conspiracy theories."

When you hear eBay cheerleaders praising the new initiative, ask yourself "How are they making money off of eBay?"

How many of these people are selling "How To" books? How many are selling the faded dream of being your own boss on eBay? How many are non-Power Sellers that ACTUALLY sell items on eBay?

You aren't your own boss any more - eBay is your new master. Empower yourself and throw off the chains!

eBay Wins Better Business Bureau Award

eBay Inc. will receive the Better Business Bureau President's Award for sustained superior performance. The online auction site is one of several businesses accepting a BBB International Torch Award at a ceremony on April 8 at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. The Torch Awards are given by the Council of Better Business Bureaus to recognize businesses and executives exhibiting integrity in the marketplace and exemplary dedication to fostering trust between businesses and consumers.

Steven J. Cole, President and CEO of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, stated in a press release, "In just 13 years, eBay had truly changed the marketplace and shaped the definition and expectation of trust between buyers and sellers. eBay has demonstrated clear leadership and fostered trust between members by keeping the marketplace safe for consumers around the globe."

eBay to hide ALL auction bidder IDs

eBay is going to hide the IDs of bidders on ALL auctions on the US site. They claim this will prevent fraud, and troubles resulting from Second Chance Offers.

eBay relied on users to police the site and report shill bidders. That will be a lot more difficult now.
