Within this lens you'll find vintage VW buses and cars for sale (air-cooled Porsches too), photos of past and current restoration projects, as well as some background on the wonderful world of Vintage Volkswagens, Vintage VW stories from Volkswagen enthusiasts around the world, and perhaps even info on upcoming classic car shows, VW swap meets and events - that sounds swell to me how about you?
We've sold some great classic VW's and Porsches over the past several years including a fun little 1970 VW Karmann Ghia, a couple of original Acapulco VW Things, a fantastic very sporty 1963 Ragtop VW Beetle, a super hot 1965 Porsche 356C as well as a ton of real nice VW Buses - split-windows, deluxe buses, kombi's and more! Here's a beauty - a classic 1966 VW Bus for sale from Sunset Classics in Minneapolis Minnesota. This 13 Window Deluxe bus has some super fast mojo with a 1950cc engine and to top it off has room for 9 passengers all with seat belts so you can pile in the whole fam strap them in and hit the race track... well maybe not, but at least you could tool down the freeway in style.

If something a little wild crazy and shagadelic is your thing check out the 1973 VW camper video - if you are looking for a cheap VW bus this is your gal, but she's not cheap in the sense that you wouldn't want to be seen with her behind the bleachers kinda cheap she's more the long walks on the beach and a good toasty campfire at night kinda cheap (I don't know where I'm going with that - you can bring her home for a paltry $3995 that's what I'm sayin')

How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive: A Manual of Step-by-Step Procedures for the Compleat Idiot is hands down the best book for fixing your air-cooled VW Bus, Campers, Beetles, and Ghias. John Muir, an old hippie that loves VW's and a legend in the classic VW world has written this book from the heart - it is as enjoyable to read as it is useful. As the title says a complete idiot could do it - even if the publisher can't spell complete they have a winner with this book.
If you are new to the classic VW world this should be your first book - just spend some time reading the reviews at Amazon and you'll be sold. (plus it is fun to read other VW lovers stories of their bugs, buses, Ghias, and buggies).
1961 Split-Window VW Bus for Sale
Rebuilt engine, very solid California bus
This fine VW Bus has sold but you can still see more for sale at Vintage VW Cars on the ever popular VW Bus for Sale page!We have a Southern California Split-Window that is very solid. (gotta love those Cali deserts for finding great old buses). The engine (1600cc) was line board, has fresh bearings, and brand new pistons and cylinders were installed. The builder of the motor has done several VW motors in the past (including some for racing) so you can be sure this was done right. So pack up the camping gear and hit the road in this spiffy split-window bus.

- I got this '74 Volkswagen Thing when I was 17 from a family by the name of Brenegen who lived down the street from where I grew up. The car was in pretty rough shape, but it wasn't rusty. The windshield was cracked, the car didn't have a motor or a top, the rear fenders were in the back seat, and it needed brakes, tires, and ball joints. But I sure was excited to find it...
