A Journey into the Past through vintage magazine ads
Old advertising from magazines reminds people of their youth and silly jingles that went along with the products. A simpler time and happy memories of using the products advertised.
Some collectors like to have the old ads to help enhance a collection of items and to help validate the dates that the products were in use. They can even show differences in company logos and slogans used to promote the products.

Crest Toothpaste
A magazine ad from 1958

Look Mom...No cavities! was a popular slogan for Crest Toothpaste back in the 1950's. Norman Rockwell illustrated this ad for Crest in 1958.
Rockwell illustrated a number of advertisements for Crest using All-American looking kids showing Mom the latest report from the dentist.
You can find this particular advertisement in my shop The Paper Trail Dental Ads.
Barbie and Ken TV Commercial
Walt Disney Movies
Peter Pan

Remember going to the movies on Saturday afternoons? In 1953 Walt Disney released the cartoon version of Peter Pan which was distributed to the theaters by RKO Radio pictures.
The production companies advertised their latest movies heavily in magazines upon their release date. Some were illustrations, some photographs, and some a combination of both.
Sorry, this Peter Pan ad has been sold but you can find other movie ads in this category on my website The Paper Trail Movie Ads

What did Mom serve...
in her coffee cups?

Could it have been Maxwell House coffee? It was good to the last drop or so the advertising said.
Although, this magazine ad from 1949 says that "Everyone knows the sign of good coffee". The sign being an empty coffee cup.
I love the old Maxwell House coffee ads. They usually had a neat Americana scene to enhance the theme of the advertisement. The ad on the right was illustrated by Stan Ekman showing ladies gathering on a porch to share a cup of coffee together.
This magazine ad and other nostalgic ads for coffee can be purchased at my website in my Coffee and Tea Section at The Paper Trail.

I've lensrolled you into 4 of my lenses, and added to your list of sites, think I should add that feature to my sites sometime soon...thanks for offering it!
