2 or 3 dozen vintage polish glass Ornaments, 1 or 2 polish Cookbooks, 1/2 dozen pieces of vintage polish Enamelware, 1 dozen vintage Christmas Cards, 1 or 2 vintage polish Dolls, 1 dozen of grandma's favorite holiday Recipes, 1 or 2 pieces vintage polish Glass, 1/2 dozen vintage polish Pottery serving pieces, 1 or 2 great Polka CD's. Combine ingredients. Substitute as desired. Sprinkle with love, and enjoy!

Highballs...these were made with Seagrem 7, and any mixer of choice!

Recipe For Stuffed Cabbage (Golabki)
A very nostalgic holiday main course!
Place a whole cored Cabbage in boiling water, detatch leaves, remove thick stems. Mix together 1 Sauteed Onion, 1,1/2 Lb. lean ground Beef, 1/2Lb. ground Pork, 1,1/2 cups cooked Rice, Salt & Pepper. Place heaping Tablespoon upon each cabbage leaf, tuck in sides & roll, secure with toothpick. Layer roasting pan with chopped cabbage, sauerkraut, & Cabbage rolls. Top with 1 can diced Tomatoes, 2 cans diluted Tomato Soup. Bake at 350 approx. 1 hour. Enjoy!

Recipe For Mushrooms & Sour Cream (Grzyby W Smietanie)
Serve as an appetizer, or a side dish!
Saute 1 chopped Onion in 6 Tablespoons Butter, add 2 Tablespoons Flour, then 2 Tablespoons Milk, bring to a boil. Add 1 Lb. sliced Mushrooms, 2 Tablespoons Paprika, and simmer until mushrooms are tender. Stir in 1 pint Sour Cream. Enjoy!

Recipe For Noodles & Sauerkraut (Kluski)
An oh so good, holiday side dish!
Prepare a 1 Lb. bag of Kluski Noodles. Sautee 1 large Onion, add 1 can rinsed and drained Sauerkraut, Salt & Pepper. Add noodles, mix well, sprinkle with Paprika. Enjoy! How easy was that?

Recipe For Pickled Beets (Cwikla)
My grandmother served her tasty Pickled Beets at every holiday!
Layer, in a glass bowl, 3 cups sliced cooked, or canned Beets, 4 tsp. prepared Horseradish, 8 whole Cloves. Boil 2 cups Vinegar, with 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar, and 2 tsp. Salt. Pour over beets. Let beets mellow in fridge at least 24 hours. Enjoy!

Recipe For Christmas Bread (Placek Swiateczny)
Wrap in plastic and let mellow 1-2 days, top with powdered sugar!
Beat 5 Eggs with 2 cups Confectioner's Sugar. Add 1 cup Butter, 1 Tablespoon Lemon Peel, 1 tsp Vanilla, 3 Tablespoons Vodka or Brandy, 3/4 cup chopped Walnuts, 2/3 cup Raisins, 4 oz candied Orange Peel, 2 tsp Baking Powder, 1/2 tsp. Salt, and 2,1/4 cup Flour. Bake at 350 approx. 1 hour, in a greased and floured loaf, or ring pan.

Recipe For Filled Cream Cheese Cookies (Kolacky)
My all time favorite holiday goodie!
Cream 1 cup Butter with 8 oz. Cream Cheese and 1/2 tsp. Vanilla. Add 2,1/4 cups Flour and 1/2 tsp. Salt. Chill dough overnight. Roll to 3/8 in. thick on floured surface, cut into 2 in. squares. Fill each with 3/4 tsp. canned Solo fillings, found in many grocery stores. My favorites are Apricot & Prune. Roll, and place on Parchment papered baking sheet. Bake at 325 until slightly browned. Enjoy!
