Vintage 80s Jeans on eBay

For years blue jeans were considered basic work wear but that all changed in the eighties with the introduction of upscale designer jeans. New form fitting styles featured embroidery, piping along seams and the designers label on the back pocket. Expensive advertising campaigns from Calvin Klein, Guess and Jordache competed for attention and dollars with sexy ads on billboards, tv and magazines.

Acid Wash Sucks

Yes, acid wash was a big trend in the eighties but here's a little secret - it sucked back then and it still sucks now! Acid wash was never cool, it was a trashy alternative to fashionable designer jeans and spread like a disease through cut rate department stores and suburban malls but no one with style would ever touch it. Unless you are going for an 80s loser look stay away from acid wash!

Tom Cruise had a few signature looks in the 1983 movie Risky Business. First was the now classic pairing of causal white t-shirt and jeans with a business blazer and second his famous Wayfarer sunglasses that appeared in most marketing material such as the poster and video box. These classic shades were popular in many variations from the standard Wayfarer black and tortoiseshell to lower quality knockoffs in white, colors or with neon arms. The neon arm ones are fun and can glow under club lighting but white and black have more class.
