Violets emerge after the long dark winter to announce the beginning of spring.These unassuming flowers represent rebirth, renewal and hope.
The Violet Heart image "grew" emerging like flowers in the spring after a long winter.
The design combined of my long-standing professional experiences with grief and loss and my personal unexpected NICU experience with my youngest daughter who was hospitalized soon after birth in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
While my daughter was in the NICU I wanted something to wear all the time that would signify my thoughts were with her and that behind the smile, my heart was crying. The Violet Heart design was created out of this desire to hold her in my heart while she was healing in the hospital.
