Viral Marketing for the Beginner

Well after almost 20 years online trying to improve my financial situation I was wondering if I would ever taste any success. It finally happened, after 19 years of failure finally I am beginning to see some success.

I think I must have tried everything imaginable because it sure felt that way. So just what exactly changed in my online world you may ask.

How I Started in Viral Marketing

It all changed when I put things in the right order. Sounds simple, let me explain. For years I spent most of my time promoting my business. Seems the logical thing to do does it not?

WRONG - I discovered the hard way that if you concentrate your efforts on sending traffic to your site then your business will basically look after itself. But not just any old traffic. You need to multiply this traffic constantly without any extra effort on you part, after all you don't want to work 24 hours a day! So just how do you go about this mammoth task?

In essence what we need to do is to start a Viral Marketing campaign, a campaign that increases every day without any extra effort on my part. So just what is Viral Marketing you may ask. For a start don't get confused like some and think its a computer virus. Probably a good example of modern day viral marketing is the story of Hotmail.

Hotmail is a popular free email service and anybody can setup a free account there. On the bottom of every Hotmail email sent there is a single line of text referring to their free account availability. Everybody sees it and many click on it and setup their own Hotmail account. And the same with their friends and colleagues etc etc etc. Its a never ending story really. Today Hotmail have millions of accounts all brought about by that one line of text at the end of each email. That is a simple explanation of Viral Marketing.

There are probably many ways to start but I can only really recommend the ones I have tried personally. I started very simply with just two sources and I must say it has now blossomed into many hundreds and my traffic is building every day and probably could not stop what I started even if I wanted to.

The first place I started was VitalViral, a very well run site with absolutely oodles of help and strategies. They even have a strategy wizard to help define your objectives and how to achieve them. There is a well laid out plan here and you would be well advised to follow it precisely.

The second site I joined was ViralURL. It too is well laid out with easy explanations and is probably one of the first truly viral marketing sites to appear on the net. As with most things worth while it is vital that you follow the plan otherwise you will be planing to fail.

Don't waste 19 years like I did, follow the plans from the sites mentioned above and don't quit. There will be further lenses on this topic in the not to distant future.

Have a Great Day
