What's this all about

Well, good question. Digital products are a hot item these days. If you've visited online worlds like Second Life, WOW or others, you know what I am talking about. If you haven't visited any online worlds, trust me, there are people buying and selling digital products and making money, and what I have to offer is similar. I create Virtual Property in the form of a playing card. The art, or the image on the cards are my own creations or are form artists, or people like you,  that want to see their art, or photo on them.

This lens is simply a traffic generation, or traffic boost digital card game that provides traffic to existing Squidoo lens pages that display a property card. A virtual monopoly traffic generation card game. To play all you do is collect property cards and place them on your lens. You can even set up a new lens using a property card and then turn around and sell the lens with the card attached. In that example the lens was the land, and the digital product or property card was the house on the land. If there was a fair amount of traffic going to that lens then that property card might be the reason why and become a valuable card.

The game has a twist though. Others can try and take your property cards. If your property card becomes a card that many want, then people will flock to your lens to try and get it, and while they visit they will get to know more about your lens. More about how to take cards later on this page.

You can choose your first property card from the display of cards at the very bottom of this page. Every player will then be added to my lensroll at right in the section titled More great lenses. Your first card is free.

The first 5 players receive a free second property card to lensroll on another lens.

Visit the players in the More great lenses section and see what they own. Who will become the VirtualOpoly Tycoon, will it be you? No traffic cops here, just green lights.

Once you choose a card you are the owner of the card. However other players have a chance to take it from you. To try and take your card, other registered players collect what are called hardships. Hardships are then given to your property card game page. The game page is a new lens I have created for every card. Once I know of your selection, I will inform you of the address of the game page and instruct you to visit the game page and select lensroll. When you select lensroll another page will appear requesting you to select the lens you are going to affiliate with the property card. This will then create a thumbnail image and a hyperlink to your game page, on the right side of the affiliated lens you chose. Only one property card per lens is allowed.

If you ever decide to sell your property card, it is up to you and the new owner to inform me so I can update the VirtualOpoly records and the property game page to reflect the new owners name. The new owner will then have to lensroll the game page as instructed above. You would then have to remove the lensroll to the game page. You may then lensroll the lens of the new owner they affiliated with the property card.

If your property receives too many hardships your property card will go to auction where you might end up loosing it to another player.

Hardships are also your money in the game. It costs you $.02 for every hardship you buy at the Hardship Shop. So everytime someone tries to put your property on the auction block they are in fact giving you $.02 cents. You have to be careful though, every property card has a default value. When selecting a property card, you will know what the default value is. You don't want the hardships you collect to equal the default value of a property. If this happens your property goes to auction. Everyone knows the default value of property cards since it's displayed on every card. Lets say the default value is $3.00 then you don't want to have 150 hardships, if you do, the property card goes to auction. 150 hardships at $.02/each = $3.00 = deafault value. 

Here's a secret, you could sell your hardships or use on others, and even sell your property card(s). However, All hardships on a property card you sell have to be cured, even if the property card goes to auction. If the property card sells for more then the default, you pay the default and keep the over paid hardships to use on others or to buy another property card. However, if it sells at auction for less then the default value, for say, $2.00 at auction, and the default value for our example card was $3.00, you then would have to pay the remaining $1.00 default or turn in 50 hardships to the Hardship Center. 

Say you want to buy another property card, but you want to get it from the auction, you simply use the hardships you pre-purchase or received from others that are not on any of your properties to bid on new properties. To get you started I will give you 20 hardships just for becoming a member of the game. This will only be given once per new member. To receive your 20 hardships become a member below using the guestbook, and then select your first property card free at the bottom of the page and then sit back and I will get you the card as quickly as I can. There are never any duplicate property cards, every card will be unique.

If your card is popular then you can expect to receive alot of hardships which equals traffic to your lens. I am always adding new cards. I am also accepting pictures/painting images, or the like, from anyone who might want to see their images on a property card.
