I have lived on several of the Native American reservations in Northern Minnesota, in several of the small towns of Central Minnesota and, for the past 23 years, in the capitol city of Saint Paul.

Beautiful scenary and outdoor adventures are what many people think of first when considering a trip to Minnesota. Those are available in abundance in Minnesota state parks, Minnesota state and national forests, wilderness and in the Boundary Waters Canoe area .

Some Minnesota nicknames: North Star State; Gopher State; Land of 10,000 Lakes.

The origin of the name is from a Dakota Indian word meaning "sky-tinted water."

We love to vacation in many places, but our favorite getaway is to explore ever more of Minnesota's attractions.
