- Arts Boston
- You should check out Arts Boston for information about current shows in town and for Boston's version of half priced tickets, day of the show. There are 2 Bostix booths that sell these, one in Copley Square, the other in Quincy Market. The website will show you what's available that day. Tickets go on sale at 10am.
- Menupix- Boston
- Boston Restaurant Guide. See the menu for thousands of Boston and Cambridge restaurants and view maps, reviews, ratings, delivery, and takeout information.
I like to see a menu a lot of times before venturing out, especially if I am with my kids. - Things to do in Boston - City of Boston
- You know, for a government website, this has a pretty good list of upcoming events and resources. Official webpage listing local historic sites, museums, tours, and attractions for vistors of our city.
- EveryBlock Boston: Boston local news and public records
- Boston news, organized by neighborhood and city block. You type in a zip code, address or neighborhood and get a nice summary of news, business info, Yelp reviews and uh-oh... restaurant inspections.
- Grubhub- Boston food delivery
- OK, sometimes when I visit a place, I just don't want to go out, but I don't want to be limited to hotel food. Check out your options at Grubhub!
- Cheap Airfare To Boston - Airfare Deals To Boston
- This is a great website for tracking the best airfares around the country, I have it set for you folks coming to Boston. Save some dough!

- Downtown Boston, Cambridge and the immediate suburbs are easily accessed by subway or local busses. The best bang for the buck is the 7 day pass for $15, especially since they charge $9 for a single day. This is good on the subways and local busses. Take 8 rides on the subway and you have more than covered individual fares.

It never hurts to have a handy tourist guide with you. I've picked out a couple of the more well known ones and a couple that are good add-ons. How can you not like a book called "Not for Tourists Guide" - you want to be cool and blend in like you know what's going on! And I love "Boston Then and Now", though the older I get, the more the "then" becomes familiar territory.
