After reading alot of the reviews here, I was hesitant about ordering NIS 2008 (for up to 3 users). My husband insisted it was still our best option so I ordered the CD from Amazon.com to install on his HP laptop and my HP desktop. Both computers have 2gigs of RAM and run Vista Home Premium. We both had a few days left on our Norton pre-installed original trial offers so I uninstalled those first. NOTE: BEFORE YOU UNINSTALL THE OLD VERSION, BE SURE TO TURN OFF THE AUTOMATIC LIVEUPDATE IN THE NORTON BASIC SECURITY SETTINGS. If it is left ON, it can interfere with the uninstallation process. The uninstallation went smoothly and removed all of the old version. I installed the new version with no problems on either computer. Neither one of us has experienced any notable slowdown. In fact, they seem to run a little faster. We are both very pleased with this product.I installed the Internet Security progtram on two of my windows XP system computers. The program installed without any problems, and I have not have any problems since installing it.
